The worst part about the stairs thing is, that if the crafting recipe would be changed to just 3 blocks for 4 stairs, we would actually get all the material crafted to stairs, since one quarter of every block is missing in a stair and a stair is made out of three quarters.

But the zombie _does_ give the same signal strength as the player??? The vibrations for every mob's footsteps are the same; the signal strength of 14 shown in the video was caused by it sensing the zombie spawning; and the signal strength of 7 is caused by it sensing the damage the zombie takes.

And they randomly drop eggs in Minecraft, just like chickens do in real life (yes chickens totally just poop eggs out randomly). Immersive Weathering mod adds iron rusting if I remember correctly. Amongst other fun things. When you combine it with Serene Seasons mod it becomes like ‘realistic’ nature.

Dispensers are made with a bow because when they were out, there was no crossbows and players adopted the recipe with a bow so changing it would just be confusing. Mojang trys to not to change recipies a lot when they are fully out because old version old recipie, new version new recipie. 2 things to remember instead of 1.

In Terraria, the reason why torches and campfires dont extinguish naturally is explained in game. Its because of the "Torch God". So maybe something similar is in minecraft? Some unknown entity or force of nature responsible for keeping torches lit.

As some may already know torch did used to extinguish in a version of the game. It might have been and April fools update. Also minecraft minecarts are realy slow in comparison, you basically go the same speed when you run.

Even though Minecraft is based in the medieval age and has magic, there are various technological things, like pistons, redstone, observers, now the auto rafters, Minecraft that is on the medieval age is like going through an industrial update, Extra; you can make infinite water with just two bucket, like watch how much water just one bucket has, and that would mean that Steve carries infinite weight also with just 2 buckets.

The sculker one is because of how a zombie would move vs a human. In media, zombies take slow, heavy steps, while people walk with much lighter steps. So it would make sense that a zombie stomping around would be louder than a player strolling casually.

10:52 the crafting recipe also scams you out of half the stairs. There are 6 blocks to craft stairs, the stairs are 3/4 the block, there should be the original 6 from the blocks, and an additional 2 from the 1/4 miising from the corner. They only make 4.

the dispenser thing probably mostly has to do with the fact that dispensers predate crossbows by like...a lot, and changing the recipe would be bad because it's been like that since the block was added and it's not broken so it doesn't need to be fixed

The one thing that always got me was if you craft lets say a helmet, chestplate, leggings or boots with iron that’s essentially and obviously using ingots, (5 for helm, 8 for chest, 7 for leggings and 4 for boots) but the one thing that doesn’t make any sense is if you smelt either one of the armor pieces you get 1 iron nugget

The reason skeletons have a melee attack for when they're both breaks but their bow doesn't break is cuz underwater they can't shoot arrows so they use a melee attack

2:08 I think the reason frogs can’t be caught in a bucket is cause they’d just hop out. 3:13 Bows existed long so maybe they just didn’t want to change the recipe. 5:13 The zombies make more noise then you do, they groan periodically while the only noise the player makes is walking.

The bow for dispensers thing is pretty straightforward; dispensers have been in the game pretty much as long as redstone itself, and bows have been in the game as long as skeletons have been using them. There needed to be some way to craft dispensers with what was already in the game, hence a bow. Later on, there's been no real reason to update the dispenser recipe because now players use them for a lot more than they used to, which would make changing the bow to a crossbow much more costly than it really warrants.
