Started doing hvac last year, I’m only 19 and don’t want to end up like the other guys I work with and have knee problems, definitely going to get a pair of these

I highly recommend these kneepads or one of the foam pads you can pick up and move around. Good thinking ahead!

41 year old mechanic....protect your knees!! also recommend the Goldblatt kneeler board ( usually in the garden section of homedepot/lowes )

@larrydysondev husky has a kneeling pad out now. It's nice when I'm staying in one place for awhile

I’m 33 and have been doing HVAC for 6 years and my knees and even heels are already sore and popping every time I go upstairs or had a long day of furnaces clean and checks. Protect your knees, boys. It won’t take long with doing this job and you’ll need a knee replacement by the time your 50.

Yea im 32 and I got really nervous with that bursitis I mentioned. Nice boots or shoes help a ton. I dont skimp on quality footwear

I been doing hvac for more than 10 years and had bursitis already, thank God i got it fixed, but it was a horrible experience, i been using knee pads ever since

Thanks for the review. I have knee problems too. I'd prefer something more discrete like these and wanted to hear a fellow tradesman give them the approval.
@WorldofHVAC Жыл бұрын
I approve. These things are a game changer. I always hated thick pads with uncomfortable straps. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made

Bursitis?! Ouch! That stinks, been there. Anyway I’ve been using these and even though I accidentally bought one size too big they’re really good.

@World of HVAC Do you wear them every day?
@WorldofHVAC Жыл бұрын
Not exclusively anymore. I put them on when they are needed. Still beats the straps
@Bruce25189 ай бұрын
Do you just throw them in the washer to clean them?
@WorldofHVAC9 ай бұрын

What about while wearing shorts are they sweaty? Do they bunch up and dig into the back of your legs? I need them for outdoors/irrigation which is all day on your knees and a little digging in turns into a lot after 6 to 8 hours. Was even thinking volleyball pads
@WorldofHVAC6 ай бұрын
I forget they're on when I'm in shorts. They don't move at all when you're walking around. No bunching up behind the knee. Thats what attracted me to the sleeve over the straps in the first place

Hi im an apprentice carpenter doing flooring everyday 5 days a week would u say that these are durable enough to be used all day long ? If not ehat else would u recommend?
@WorldofHVAC Жыл бұрын
I actually just replaced all the subflooring in my camper and they were awesome. I cant speak on the longevity since our trades are different and yours will be way harsher conditions than mine. I do know that flooring guys prefer knee pads with a solid base that doesnt roll when you shift your weight
@braden473 Жыл бұрын
How are these on concrete?
@WorldofHVAC Жыл бұрын
Staying in one place for awhile is not bad. They do well when moving around. I used them to install my floors. Daily I might use something with more padding and support. Your knee tends to roll a bit. For occasional use they are great, daily flooring work I wouldnt recommend them
@nickgeorge1226 Жыл бұрын
just wondering if they’re washable? those attics in the summer are killer
@WorldofHVAC Жыл бұрын
Yes! I wash them all the time. I hang them up to dry. Cant imagine they would do well with the heat
@severhftf Жыл бұрын
hey hope you respond have you tryed sliding yet thinking about using this for airsoft
@yolisurich4025 I'd have to look online. Honestly I just throw in with the rest of my clothes and hang them up to dry. I have a feeling the heat will melt the rubber in the dryer

I like your other videos but this was BOGUS. Unless you show us how you can walk around on your knees and these stay in place, I'm definitely dubious. Any knee pads go on easily and fit right on the knee if you're stationary... and you can go up/down once just fine. The real, and only test is if they stay properly positioned when you move around on your knees. If they don't, then you have to constantly reposition them, which gets old quickly.
@WorldofHVACАй бұрын
I know what you're referring to. The top elastic has a grippy side that goes against your skin. I don't really have to adjust them much. Compared to the usual knee pads they stay put for me atleast
@EngRMPАй бұрын
@@WorldofHVAC OK.... you're right! I just got the cheaper $20 version from Klein. I spent an hour putting the lower screws in a 20 ft section of drywall, so I was mostly crawling around on my knees, and getting up and down a few times to clean up, get more screws, move things out of the way. They stayed right in place. And they are comfortable (I sat around for another 3 hours and they were comfortable). I'm not sure how long they'll last; but even if it's just for this one basement finish job (drywall and flooring), I'm happy... I'm treating them as "disposable". Here's a trick I learned right away: when putting them on/off, fold the sticky lip back to let the knee pads slide more easily... once in place, fold the sticky lips back over to engage.
