If you have a laser printer, you can print the pattern with a black fill and use an iron to transfer the toner to the metal to use it directly as the chemical resist, instead of having to use double-sided tape and cut all the sticky stuff away hoping not to mess up the design. Just be sure to use warm soapy water to rub away the paper, don’t try peeling it away.

Love the idea of just adding more metal to add thickness for ergonomics. When the blade is something that is not the kind of knife you necessarily want a wooden handle.

the shape is a kiridashi style, but most are made with a single chisel ground bevel for all around utility use, a scalpel is 2 sided and usually much sharper... 😜😄.. just messing with ya...
