I have seen a few leather handled knives but never one with a sliced edge, usually drilled and laced, I love leather and steel and discovering new things like this. The profile looks amazing too, lovely and clean and I love it.

Really nice looking knife. If you want the handle to last put your stitching in a groove - it will bring it below the surface of the leather and hide it from abrasion. Another thing you can do is to contact cement the leather scales to the tang to both reinforce it and to keep the scales from moving around which would allow the thread to rub on the steel grooves - it will also help keep junk from getting in between the tang and scales. The leather loop will wear out fairly quickly if you put a lanyard in it - I tried something similar and was disappointed. Cheers.

@Michael Wrobel ... Putting a brass collet or similar within the leather loop could lengthen its life but I agree it might be fussy, and better removed. Lanyards are OK for whistles, etc., but not for heavier items as they swing around when you're on the move.
