How do you match your bevels with the grinding jig you made? A straight plunge line is somewhat easy, but the angled plunge lines is what I'm curious about.

I love the angles of the brass pieces and the contrast with the lighter wood. From a utilitarian perspective I would have elongate the finger guard, had too many accidental cuts from slipping off the handle in wet conditions.

Nice blade, hard to work with pre hardened steel but always doable, I always worry about the hardness afterwards. I like the handle but that split worries me, it probably only showed up as you went, I wonder if you could fill it with expoy that is mixed with sawdust from that wood? Perhaps remove a section of the area around the split? Even run some brass pins though and fill with the mentioned epoxy? Anyway nice blade, I think you learn as much by watching as listening, I enjoyed the vid.
