@@pipo57able Definitely a great knife too, just a different price zone. Love that they have a black version now. Would love this knife with the blue handle, small size, and magnacut. Even at $150 I'd consider that a great deal. I just got my mini and really like it.

@@sloanNYC Yes! Kershaw really has some great designs coming out these days. Having D2 as their budget steel choice is t he only reason they're not getting a great deal of my money. If they had used Sandvik's 14C28N rather than D2 I'd get 4 or 5 of the Steppes to put into bug out bags, and I'd have a Heist in probably every room in the house. I'll probably still get a Heist, but if it had Sandvik I'd be all over them. I understand having the Bel-Air be a premium choice with CPM-Magnacut, but if Civivi and Bestech can put 14C28N into an inexpensive knife, why can't Kershaw?

I bought a bel air for my brother as a graduation gift and I was immediately impressed by it. It had a little blade play and lock stick out of the box but I was able to rectify those issues fairly easily. I also put it though some of my higher grit stones and put a mirror polish on it before I gave it to him. The magnacut sharpened up really nicely. I also love the pocket clip. It’s nice not being able to see the butt end of the knife and it doesn’t generate any hot spots in the hand which is a rarity as far as pocket clips go. I was so impressed by it that I’m considering buying one for myself.

This is the best knife channel. So easy to watch, simple, professional.. no need to question if there's any conflict of interest (knives are presented positively of course but it's easy for us to judge if they are for us or not). No goofy scenes or edits. I've been watching the subs exploding in the past 2-3 years. You got a good recipe guys. Don't change anything. These new Kershaws are cool. I like the Belair and the kitchen knives.

Kershaw: please do the Craze with slightly better steel and some friendly colours. It would be a perfect gift for friends who work in offices, but I’m not gifting 8Cr, that’s just insulting. Ha ha. 14C28N and bright blue for $5 more? I’d buy those for friends all the time!

Second that. Fellas as a Shuffle enthusiast the Craze is my kind of item but please do a stuff like a Shuffle and Craze in a little better than 8cr and GRN. sandvik and aluminum sounds neat (and hopefully analogous Craze II with the other kind of bottle opener).

@@elgatofelix8917 Completely different Brands and comparisons; you either had to know that which means you're arguing in bad faith, or if you didn't than you're not knowledgeable enough to debate with. First off, Benchmade gets the hacks they do because they are gradually and factually over pricing knives that multiple other American made brands price their products at for the same materials. In fact Kershaw has knives in this video with aluminum, Magnacut, and side-opening automatic function for under $150. With Benchmade, you can't even purchase a Bugout in grivory, S30V, and axis-lock for that cost as they have since increased the Bugouts to $180. The one titanium model that Benchmade has in the Narrows, is priced at $520; those are literally Chris Reeves and Rick Hinderer prices, except with Benchmade you aren't getting all the fine tuning and critical finishing hand work that you do with other companies that have a reputation for excellent knives at the standard of $400+; Benchmade makes a new model in GFN, S30V, and axis-lock then slaps a $340 price tag on it undeservingly. You mentioned WE knives which is hilarious because WE isn't even USA made, they're a Chinese OEM but as far as I'm concerned, they absolutely destroy Benchmade in every category whether it's fit and finish, pricing, and overall design aesthetic. Spyderco does the best heat treats in the business and although they have increased in costs over the past couple of years, as a customer buying one, it surely doesn't seem like the same dirty kick to the balls that Benchmade knives do. Benchmade increased their prices 30% on EVERY product they make, and when customers voiced their opinions about it negatively, Benchmade doubled down and did a DLC Narrows for $600 and basically told their customers "you will do nothing to persuade us to lower pricing and you'll be just as happy about it too..." The negative comments about Benchmade are deserved; get over it🤷‍♂

@@elgatofelix8917 Where I live I cannot even own OTF, so Protech and Microtech are mostly irrelevant. I won't comment on things I don't really know about. WE knives are definitely not as overpriced as Benchmade and even Spyderco, although they have become pretty expensive - at least most of them - offer better value than Benchmade. Criticizing Benchmade is not just some kind of "fashion", they have well earned that repudiation.

That style of pocket clip on the Craze im not a fan of. Its on the Covalent. The idea of ultra deep carry is coop but it wrapa over the lip of the pocket and kind of folds itself intothe pants. Hard to pull out of the pocket . Kershaw is however. ....kicking lots of butt lately . Iridium gonna be like a Buck knife in a few years. Iconic.

I know CRKT sells way more knives than Kershaw, but Kershaw appeals to knife guys WAY more. CRKT refuses to make knives with reversible clips and it seems like Kershaw prioritizes it in their designs, like Benchmade. Oh and they make knives here in the US too, big win. Keep crushing Kershaw, knife guys are noticing and we appreciate you.

The Craze makes me think of the Benchmade Immunity but with a bottle opener and a cheaper steel and price tag. I will be picking up one of them I always liked the first Shuffle but wished it had a crossbar lock so this is like a wish come true.

That blackout bel air is FIRE Update: the black version is not a stonewash, it’s black PVD. Functionality is not affected but PVD is much less forgiving to scratches and fingerprints.

@@jonathanklein7875 absolutely correct has to be under 3inches and non locking, I do live very remote though in the uk, so a lot of the gear I carry is on my own land and I carry for work too, if you have a valid reason for carrying ie work or camping you’ll get left alone. Just can’t take it down the local pubs on a weekend haha. But honestly 99% of knife stops in the uk are for youths if you’re an adult and not brandishing any knife around clearly in public like restaurants and pubs you’ll be fine to carry

My main complaint with Kershaw is their choice of budget steel. Instead of going with D2, they rrally ought to have gone with 14C28N. It's a better steel in every posible way other than a marginal (at best) edge holding ability, and even that is questionable. My QSPs, Vosteeds, Civivis, and Bestechs with 14C28N seem to hold their edge very bit as well as my Boker and CRKY Minimalist with D2. If that Steppe was in 14C28N raather than D2 I'd probably order 4 or 5 of them to put in bug out bags. I don't like the idea of D2 on an emergency use knife I may have to depend on to be tough.

The clip on the Belair sucks for one big reason: DON’T PUT BRANDING ON DEEP CARRY CLIPS, THE ENTIRE POINT IS TO BE DISCRETE! Nobody wants a sign saying “KNIFE!” on their deep carry clip designed to conceal the entire knife in your pocket 🤦‍♂️
