- The micromachine guy is John Moschitta Jr. Transformers fans also know him as the voice of Blurr :) - I see the red Camaro in the title shot, all the way to the bottom - Never noticed there was a DeLorean parked further up the road in the Kitt vs. Karr episode! - The lock lights... I always got the impression it was just a mock door in the studio. They didn't put those in an actual car did they? - The scene where they approach the semi has a really cool animation on the dashboard where the rev counter works so well that I could have sworn it was actually hooked up to the engine, like with the fancars that are made these days :)

I grew up in Seal Beach. My next-door neighbor heard about this episode being filmed, so we drove down to the beach to see what we could see. It was a Monday night, and they had wrapped production for the day, so all we saw were trailers and a couple of the KITT cars in the beach parking lot. We walked down there (no security) and eventually knocked on one of the trailer doors. Someone answered, and we found David Hasselhoff and two other guys watching Monday Night Football. David was nice enough to come out and say hello to two awkward 16-year old kids. He took Polaroid photos with us and signed them as best he could with a ball-point pen on a Polaroid photo. Unfortunately, I don't still have mine.

There was a goof with the foglights in the scene where Michael is waiting for the alarm to go off. The foglights are on and headlights down. Then in the next scene the headlights are up and foglights are off. Then the next scene it's back to the foglights on and headlights are down.

As an avid Knight Rider fan, from way back in the day, then waiting in the mid 2000’s for them to release the tv shows to dvd. I can say without a doubt I’ve seen every episode dozens of times. This is indeed the best Knight Rider burnout off the entire series. Wether it be K.I.T.T. Pulling a 180 to a burnout, or just simply a burnout period. This is by far the best one!!. Easily 100 yards of burning tires and smoke at the same time. I’m sure you guys already know this. They had several different stunt cars, this one was the modified engine Trans Am. They put a special 455 Ci engine in it. This one was used for burnouts and where lots of power were required. Who else better though to have Jack Gill doing it too!!. I also love the location reveal’s. Very interesting👍🏼 keep up the great work. Always great to run into another Knight Rider enthusiast.

This episode had music removed from the DVDs, likely because they didn't want to pay for licensing. The song removed was Little Red Corvette by Prince at the sun spot when they first meet Handsome Anson. Imagine if they had to remove John Mellencamp's "Crumblin' Down". That would have been really odd since it's crucial to the plot.

@@keepingitreal71 iirc there was a Quantum Leap episode that wasn't even available on Hulu/Netflix because they couldn't remove the music as one of the characters was singing a song in a talent contest they didn't get the rights for so rather than deleting the song or scene, they just didn't make the episode available for streaming. I am looking forward to the next commentary as race for life was another of my favorites.I have started to watch my blu ray episodes before I watch your commentary episode and I find that I can recognize the hero car from the insert car from the stunt cars ect.You have greatly enhanced my enjoyment in watching knight rider!!😀😀

You know I can't believe I never thought of that before. If the Semi really was driving with them in the back of it trying to get their work done every time it came to a stop sign or red light they'd all go flying to the front of the truck at the same time lol. The turbo boost scene in Diamonds Aren't a Girls Best Friend - we see it happen as the car lands, and they show the car continue driving for a few moments. The camera angle shows the low view and we get to see the fender buckle near to the door, during the landing. Maybe the schedule was too tight to get it fixed properly? How am i doing on this one?

Regarding missing music, Prince songs were the main ones missing, however modern releases such as the Japanese blu-ray set which I own does have all of the original music intact, and interestingly the Starz streaming on Amazon I just tried and the Prince song in Knight of the Drones is still there, however the entire episode, Dead of Knight is suspiciously missing, probably due to the Prince song once again. White Line Warriors on Amazon has it's Prince song replaced with a very generic synth type song. It's crazy that the Japanese blu-ray set still goes for around $500, even though it is 5 years old now... I wonder if any other foreign blu-rays have intact music for a lower price point? Also sucks that the original Season 3 opening intro showing the old dash is not on the Japanese blu-ray, it is the same odd opening sequence as the Universal DVDs. Oh well...

The Italian tv edition (KR is regularly re-run on the Mediaset channels) enjoys the regular old Italian dubbing as well.
