BRAVO! As an amateur music producer as a kid, this is the sort of thing I wish I’d thought of. Also great that you included both versions of the theme. I spent years as a child wondering if I’d imagined the original orchestration. Same as with the early Chucklevision theme. Brilliant job, I’ve listened to this at top volume in the car whilst bouncing in the drivers seat a’la knight astride my horse several times today! 🐴

The key to winning Knightmare was the advisors being able to keep calm, and multitask intellectual, logical and spacial awareness problems under studio lights, with goblin horns going off and a constantly ticking lifeforce countdown, trying to rattle you into making mistakes - and a single mistake usually resulted in the end of the game. The teams of children who won, and even those who got very far, had some skillsets that many adults would envy, let alone other kids.

Ooh, nasty! Superb work. Perfection. I was never quite into the second arrangement of the theme, but the way that this remix builds up to it as the big finale is stunning. I always loved the slight distortion effect in the original end theme, if it hadn't been included here it could have been the dealbreaker. I'm glad that this omits the third version of the tune. Whilst I acknowledge that it is a great piece of work, it was my least favorite arrangement of the three.
@ismayb754 Жыл бұрын
I very much like the third theme in its own way, but I acknowledge it wouldn't fit being compiled with the other two. All 3 are very different tbh. First is scary. Second is medieval adventure. Third is action. Personally I prefer the 2nd theme to the original. The 2nd is much more epic IMO (especially those horns in the closing theme) but I do like the original as well.

Hardest kids' game show ever created, by a significant margin, and what did you get if you won? A commemorative teaspoon. A commemorative teaspoon!
@Mattbarson232 жыл бұрын
With respect, what did you think CITV were going to give out? Prize holidays? Trips away? The prizes had to be in line not only with the type of show it was but also the realm in which the show was set - you couldn’t have Treguard and Hordriss giving away trips across the UK because the prize had to be in line with the show, so you’d run the risk of creating anachronisms which wouldn’t make sense.

@@LosDelMango Kids who wanted to win something probably weren't the sort of kids who made it passed the auditions. Not the point of Knightmare. Go play Funhouse. The fact that it was so difficult was what made it so appealing to certain kids. Just getting to be on it was all they wanted. Not prizes. "Finders Keepers" auditions are down the hall, off you go.
