No. Even titanium will take surface damage from 50 cal. Any solid/metal armour is very heavy so bulletproofing cars are fitted kevlar plates, or in heavier duty armoured cars sandwiches of kevlar and various metals. The bullets will ruin the looks of the car, but they will not get through.

I always felt that KITT lacked some serious firepower. I mean for a car that sophisticated for the designers to not even include a machine gun, rocket launcher or laser weapon for Michael to use as a last resort was short sighted, even if KITT was programmed to protect human life. Sometimes it's necessary for lethal force to save more lives.
