Let's kick it off with module #3 - advanced KNIME. Let me know in the comments down below, if you want the bonus. Also look at this funny video combining KNIME and roleplaying: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJibgpR7g65ql9k

Great lesson, but I need to watch it again, it has many information. thanks a lot

it's definitely worth learning. Flow variables (and the accompanying widget nodes) really pushed my KNIME understanding to the next level 😄

Hey Philipp, Love the simplicity in the explanation & appreciate the effort you put into it 🙌 Followed it thoroughly 😀 Absolutely would like to know more about the interactive robots #bonus #knime

Thank you Shashank. Will post some content about the user interface stuff soon.

What a neat workflow, i will stop using curved connections from tomorrow on :)

haha... I thought it was my OCD but I am glad that other people have this "sense for order" as well ;) Basically after creating a new workflow, I turn off "curved" :D

Lovely video! Immediately forwarded it to some of my colleagues, how are about to enter flow variable terrain ;)

Awesome, thank you Pascal. Have planned additional videos on KNIME flow variables with the next one coming soon. Of there's anything you'd like to know, let me know and I will create some bonus episodes.

Man you are strong. I'm from Brazil and I'm loving your classes. Is there a way to create a screen for the user to fill in a variable?
@procurementzen Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words Aldemir. Yes, you could either use configuration nodes or configuration nodes. Both are used when you build components out of a set of nodes. Configuration nodes basically give a component a right click functionality where the user right clicks the component and can enter the details (e.g. date, string, a number etc) Widget nodes do the same thing (user interaction) just that they are triggered in what is called an interactive view. Let me know if this helps, I can also create a quick video about it.

#bonus Great Idea for drop down workflows

Yes, flow variables are a super powerful concept. Basically they made me understand that it is programming we do in KNIME - in a visual way

Hi Phil. Great video, many thanks for explaining flow variables. I had struggled with this for a while but your video has helped reinforced my understanding. (Also thanks for the presentation you gave to my team a few years ago, if you remember me ;-)

Thank you Asam 🙏 of course I remember our discussion (at the KNIME summit, right?) and our conversation afterwards

Really helpful. I was always stuck at flow variables. Now I get an Idea on how to use them. In-fact, I literally incorporated in one of my workflows. Thank you and keep up the good work. Btw, I will be grateful if you can help me with the concept of fetching data from sharepoint tables (I just failed miserably to establish a connection)
@procurementzen Жыл бұрын
Great that you liked it. In fact Flow Variables are really powerful. Regarding Sharepoint connection: would you mind sending me an email (sorry for the extra effort) to phil@procurementzen.com I assume it's easier to discuss this vis mail although we might want to share a potential solution later on publicly
@busyshah Жыл бұрын
@@procurementzen sure will do Thanks

@@procurementzen Thanks for your offer to help. Somehow, after doing a lot of trial and error, I am able to connect to Sharepoint Lists and fetch data. Thank you anyway.

Great video, thanks! Very helpful. I have a similar one I'm working on, but now I have to make a loop so I can write an Excel file for each "buyer". Could you help me with that? Have a great day!
@procurementzen Жыл бұрын
Basically you would add a chunk loop start and a loop end into the flow. The chunk loop start node would probably go after the column filter labelled "reduce to buyer column" and the end of that loop would be connected to the Excel Writer. If you now wonder, how to connect a loop end node to the Excel Writer that has no output port here's how to? You add an empty table generator that goes into the input port of the Loop end, then you connect the right flow variable port of the Excel Writer (right click - "Show Flow Variable Ports") to the left Flow Variable port of the End Loop. Let me know, if I should make a quick video about this.
@IgorRando Жыл бұрын
@@procurementzen It did not work with the Chunk loop start, but it has worked with the Group loop start. Anyhow, thank you so much for your help, pointing me in the right direction and reminding me of the Loop end detail was crucial. Also, a video about using a loop with variables would be great too. I could not find anything similar on KZbin and this should be very helpful.

definitely gonna do that extra video. Create user interfaces in KNIME, really helps others to use the automations you have developed
