Just got this plier set and wont ever go anywhere without it. I just added a flashlight, screwdriver with bits, Martor knife, and a long but thin lighter. I even got my Wera Zyklop with me on which the bits fit too. I just love this set.

I bought this set as well and I really like them. It is very handy. I also bought another set like it that come with side cuts. You can not go wrong with any of these tools
@Kleiner_Lutz2 жыл бұрын
I have owned this set for a couple of years now. At first I was getting weird looks and stupid jokes like "what, couldn't afford a full size tool?" But while being small, those tools are actually quite capable and useful, especially when working in tight spaces
@MillisConstruction2 жыл бұрын
Yes they are! Even their smaller XS models are surprisingly useful
@Kleiner_Lutz2 жыл бұрын
@@MillisConstruction I own the cobra xs too (love knipex tools) but I have to say I prefer the push button operated 5in model. Because when working in tight spaces without seeing what you're doing (e.g. in toilet water cisterns) you can accidently push the xs closed and have to adjust it again, which is especially bothersome if you can only fit one arm in through a tight opening

I’m going to get the Knipex Cobolts with the notched blades & angled head. My favorite German tool I have right now is my Wera 1/4” drive speed zyklop ratchet metric set.
@BL-yj2wp3 жыл бұрын
In Germany they actually sell different sets in these pouches, a Cobra plus side cutters or Cobra plus combination pliers for example. Although if you don‘t need the pouch the regular sets are still the better deals. A three piece set of 250mm Cobras plus side cutters plus combination pliers is about the same price as those simple pouch sets, whereas every set with pliers wrenches is more expensive of course. Love my pliers wrench, but man they never come cheap. And I too prefer the regular dipped handles over textured because the textured one are impossible to clean when they get oily.

Looks perfect for what I do at the factory as a welding technician! Basically these and hex keys will take care of 90% of my tool requirements. Everything I have to get to is a tight fit and these look perfect! It will be nice to not have my pockets filled with pliers and wrenches! Sadly I asked for them for Christmas so I gotta wait haha

Nice set , I’ve been shlepping a pouch containing a 125mm plierwrench, a 125mm Cobra , and a Stilletto Ti. Prybar . When I get my hands on one , I plan to build another kit based around the 100mm, and 100 plierwrench , once I get a 100mm Plierwrench ! My set up is of course leather , and has put about 5 years of service !

I have the 86-03-125, the 86-03-180 on the way to compliment my 86-03-300. Why don’t Knipex do these 3 as a kit, it’s a shame, buying individually works out expensive. I used the 300 on a chrome TMV3 valve in a swimming pool last Friday, it removed a very tight nut with no slippage, no damage to the nut and it came out easily. As I didn’t have access to a vice I thought I had had it when I saw how much sealant had been used on the initial install, no worries, the 300 took it out with ease and all I had to hold it was the floor 😎 Awesome

Since the case is elastic, you can actually fit three tools.... such as a pair of cutters, needle nose, or smaller linemans pliers.

I also like the regular dipped slick handles best on my Knipex pliers wrench - to even improve the feel of the handles I treat all my hand-tools with a clean cloth after I sprayed the whole tool with ballistol - it makes metal feel a bit towards organic so the Knipex pliers become a part of your hands - I feel the joy every time I fetch my Knipex - and I don't want to be cured from that #KnipexLove 😀 Btw Please make sure you read the ballistol story from KCtools - this organic oil recipe is soo good for almost everything you can even cure plastic objects with it after they were left in the UV radiation of the sun for too long and got pale! Just my2ct, with best wishes.
