Not only is this a beautiful shawl, but your video is clearly done, in focus, and due to this, I FINALLY got the kfb stitch. I could get the knit in front, then knit in back, but so many videos by others didn't really show how to finish the stitch, as they were not working the stitch at the end of a row. Thank you! When I get my monthly retirement, I am SO going to buy you a Kofi!! Now, to get a shawl done to mail to daughter for Christmas ❤

Do you have: 1. an in depth tutorial on the way you hold your working yarn? Is this what's called continental knitting? 2. the same, but then for left-handed beginners (aka me)? Either way, I want to make this shawl.

I didn't understand how the stitches will gradually increase for the with of the shawl and then decrease again towards the end Maybe I missed something
@SnufflebeanYarn Жыл бұрын
There is no decrease in this shawl, the cast off makes one side of the triangle.
@cherieuk4488 Жыл бұрын
Every 2 rows you have increased 2 at one end and decreased 1 at the other end which gives an overall effect of asymmetry ( the whole thing leans to the right) whilst getting gradually wider. You increase and decrease on the one row and then just increase at the end of the second row. You just keep doing that until you cast off.

The video says to repeat rows 1 and 2 BUT the written pattern says repeat rows 2 and 3. To a new knitter, I hate inconsistencies like this!
@SnufflebeanYarn Жыл бұрын
Hi! Row 1 & 3 are identical, the only reason the written pattern is worded differently was to make the written explanation of the cast off work better. Essentially you do repeat rows 1 & 2, but in written form (written after I filmed) it made it more difficult for me to explain the cast off clearly so I tweaked the written pattern. I’m so sorry if it confused you.
