It doesn't work for me to backtrack when I lose something, but when I forget a thought or something I was abut to do, it always comes back to me when I go back to the place I was where I thought of it in the first place. I had a little boy come flying down the stairs, around the corner, and down the hall, calling my name, at a schooli was teaching at. But when he caught up with me, he forgot what he was going to say and was totally embarrassed. I told him "you didn't forget, you dropped your thought at the bottom of the stairs. I saw it fall." He gave me a funny look, but went back to where I said he dropped his thought, and sure enough, the thought jumped back into his head. He came back to me in awe, that his thought had fallen out of his head, and asked his question. Lol. The kids always thought I was magic or something.

Summer Lee's book is wonderful! I can't ever figure out why people have such opinions on Petit Knit. Seems a little unfair considering there's designers people love and knit endlessly. It's a wonderful compliment to the designer/ company when a knitter wants to knit your designs again and again. I just knit the Harold's Junior Jumper for my son's first communion, and it was my first pattern I completed- I will hands down knit more. It was AWESOME! all the best! You two look great! - Kimberly

Hello! Great to see you together again. Losing your knitting mojo can be upsetting, but sometimes it makes the kitting Better when you start again. I like to look at British decorating magazines for colour inspiration, and maybe cut out pictures for a collage. Doing something completely different - painting, drawing, colouring mandalas, beading earrings, cooking - anything that will allow your mind to reset. Something I like to do is make hats to donate to homeless shelters, NICU's, women's shelters, a cancer treatment center. I am being treated at Dana Farber in Boston, and the medication I am on has rendered me unable to follow any but the simplest pattern, so I am trying to embrace the change, but also looking forward to some colourwork by November! Take good care of yourselves, and each other. 😊

Non-knitting comment: Jonna, sometimes I've heard it called the snadwich generation. Because parents are living longer and kids are having grandchildren and also facing economic issues, middle agers are taking care of both elders and youngers. Sympathy, it is a real thing. BTW, loving both of your insights and works; enjoing your casts!

Oh thanks so much for the episode - I love seeing what you guys are up to. Jonna - I pre-ordered the Summer Lee's book as well. Her patterns are my favorites, I'm a pretty new sock knitter. I agree that reading the book is like listening to her talk. Kim - I structure my knitting the same way - however I usually have 2-3 tips, with one that is an easy palette cleanser and one is more involved and takes my brain power (and eye sight so it often only gets worked on during daylight). I am in love with your Primrose Throw!

All the best to both of you and to your families. Jonna, my father is turning 97 this year. We are lucky he is healthy and robust for that age. Also that he has my stepmother who is younger and can take care of him. I don't know how you do it! You too, Kim. I don't have grandchildren (yet, I say with hope), so I can't imagine having to pitch in like you are doing. I wanted to mention that I do the same thing as Kim when someone in the family misplaces something. Actually, when my son was little, he loved Blue's Clues (the very original version of it). And in that, Steve, the main character, also does that! He had this little song -- "Go back go back go back, go back to where you were!" to help kids remember to trace their way back to that misplaced item! Isn't that great? Also, I also bought yarn from PUES for two of the Isager Archives patterns! I also want to buy more yarn for the Nora, now that I've seen Karen's version -- I love her colors! Plus I want to knit Esther someday and haven't gotten the yarn for it yet -- love the color you chose, Jonna. That's the color I would want for it for sure! I bought yarn for the Aase and for the Gerda sweaters. I'm so envious of the Arne and Carlos blanket Kim is knitting. Love it! I want to crochet it, but I'm still a beginner crocheter. I should just dive in and do it! Hope things are getting better. Take care.

Hi Margaret, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed comment! We love interacting with you and getting to know you better. As for parents and grandchildren, we are trying to enjoy each stage although it definitely is difficult at times. We know that someday our parents won't be here and our grandchildren will be grown and living their own lives, so we're trying to cherish every moment. We also want to buy ALL THE THINGS at PUES, but we both have to knit what we already have first... or until we just can't resist the temptation any longer. 😂 As for crochet, I was even less than a beginner when I started, but the Primrose Throw is so easy that I have been able to learn the few stitches and memorize them. Hopefully it will be finished by the time we film E27. So go for it! Beginner or not, you won't regret it. 😘 Kim (& Jonna)

Kim, your flower blanket is so "you"! Azucena = lily Jonna, I've been thinking of casting on a v-neck sweater, and I was debating between the Daily Pullover and the Dingley Dell. That's a good point you made about the neckline and the silk. Hmmm... BTW, the Dutch woman working at the Stephen & Penelope shop in Amsterdam on Saturday also insisted that I was adding to my "collection", not my "stash". HA!

I have a piece of gray wool fabric that my husband found at an auction sale and proudly presented to me. I didn't have the heart to tell him that grey looked terrible on me, and that kind of wool was too itchy for me to wear, so I set it aside for a couple of years. But then I thought I could line it and make a poncho and then I could wear it because it wouldn'tbe next to skin, so I pulled it out and was horrified to see that moths had feasted on it. Then I decided I would embroider daisies on each hole, using the daisy center as the woven part over the hole. I bought a bunch of embroidery thread to do it, but haven't started yet. (And this was a few years ago, before visible mending became trendy. I'd better get back to it.) But now that I see the cute little squares that Kim did on that sweater, I think I like that even better. I had thought of that originally, but thought it would look too much like I patched holes. But it doesn't in a variety of colours, which is what I had bought. It looks lovely. And all the added colours will look better on me than plain grey.

I avoided my mending for a while too, but once I picked it up, it went very quickly. Let us know how yours turns out! ❤️ Kim & Jonna

Joann, your father must have had you later in life. Usually, a person in their 90s has a child who is 70ish. That's difficult because you don't have the energy or strength you had at 50 or 60..... I love the niche you fill in knit podcasts.

La Bien Aimee Corrie Worsted is actually DK weight.... It's worsted spun-- hence the name. 😻

😂 Really? My yarn/fiber ignorance is showing. Thank you so much for letting me know. But it’s definitely a heavy DK or light worsted because it’s much thicker (heavier) than other DKs I’ve knit with. No? 😉 Kim

@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I figured out the yarn weight of the Corrie Worsted as I was creating the project page for a sweater.... AFTER I WAS DONE! 😂😂 Eh, DK and worsted are so close in weight that it doesn't make much difference. As long as you got gauge, then 🤷🏻‍♀️. 😻😻😻😻😻😻

Could you please suggest a beginner V-neck T-shirt for someone I’ve seen many and they are just too many to choose from. I want something simple and V-neck short sleeve or no sleeve. Please advise. Desperate beginner.

Did you find one yet? We love Karen Altabef’s Tweed Tee and Isabell Kraemer’s Dingley Dell. Both have a few skills you might have to learn, but it’s all basically just knitting and purling. Good luck! 😘 K&J

@@victoriaguerin2851 I’m not really sure, but I received my copy from the UK, so I don’t have to worry about it. Also, I just watched Andrea of Fruity Knitting interview Claudia W und and she pronounces the end as you said but also the beginning without the “U” sound, but like this K I N T - aneeya. Which one is correct? Either way, I’ll definitely have to correct my pronunciation in our next video. Once again, TYSM for letting me know! ❤️ Kim
