You're a genius! Thank you so much!!! You've no idea how much I didn't want to start over after casting on 260 stitches and then moss stitching about half of them.
@paulettegoldsmith26957 жыл бұрын
You are amazing - I'm a beginning knitter and usually start over when this happens. Like others have said, this was a much bigger project with more than 100 cast on - saved!

Thank you so much!!!! I am a long time crocheter picking up knitting for the first time, I practiced and practiced and finally got a cast on row I felt happy about and accidentally dropped one near the end of my first row and I was really ready to cry if I had to pull it all and start over lol. You’re a life saver

That is wonderful to hear! I'm glad you could pick up that stitch and not have to start over - that can be frustrating! Glad we could help :)

God bless you! There is nothing WORSE than having cast on 400 stitches for a poncho, knitting about 200-250 of them only to drop a cast on stitch! I don't know why this works but I followed you in slow-mo and did what you said and the cast on stitch was picked up, THANK YOU!

Thank goodness you put this up. I've been lucky and have never dropped a stitch so soon and I had no idea how to pick it up again. Thank you a million for showing this video.

I just cast on a few stitches, dropped one on purpose, and then tried to pick it back up, copying how it came out. And, happily, it worked! But I have been knitting for a good while now, so I have pretty good instincts. ;)

Hi Fatma, Yes, I have a video on that. Go to knitfreedom (dot) com / knitting - videos and click the section called "Troubleshooting." There you will find a video on how to drop a few stitches a few rows down and fix them, which is what you need to do in this instance. I hope this helps!

does this work for cast on stitches that are not created using the long tail method?
@Knitfreedom9 ай бұрын
The exact technique might not work but the idea will work. You can figure out how the stitch was made and recreate it. Or you can just try this and see if it works.
