Kristin, always you give a great vibe with your podcast. About the Made With Love yarn, was created by the Olympic gold medalist Tom Daley. He's a British diver and won several medals. Many times he was seen knitting during competitions. Greetings from a Mexican living in Hungary.

Aww, thanks so much for that sweet compliment, Yazmin! 🫶 And for letting me know about Tom Daley - that's so cool!! I had no idea. Just found an article about him.

Awww! Pardon me while I freak out a little. 🖤 I love your squares so much! I've got dreams of a cotton bag. Not gonna lie - my woolen spun wool granny square bag is proving to be a bit scratchy for the warmer tank top kinda weather. But I'm dedicated. xoxo

Kristen your tula is beautiful! I started a tula bloom for my granddaughters...3 of them! I hope I live long enough to get them all done. Thanks for sharing AZ. I lived there for over 30 years, the last 10 being near Sedona. I forget about Kroy Sox yarn. Love it for its strength and price. Thanks for the reminder. Your Helen Stewart shawl is beautiful!

I absolutely loved the MKAL! I hadn’t participated before and I loved it. I used “Dirty on Purpose “ and then 3 others from my stash! The pattern turned out beautifully! I’ll definitely participate again. I will say it’s my first circular shawl. Not sure about that part as of yet. I’ll probably use it as a table cover! Thanks for the suggestion! I heard about it through you and enjoyed the whole process! In fact, I’ve already decided to make another one!

Yay! Congrats on knitting your first MKAL and circular shawl, Beverly! I'm so glad you enjoyed the process. 🤗

Your granny square adventure started me down a rabbit hole as well. I found my Caron Cotton Cakes in my stash and began on sunburst squares. “It Is a Sarah” podcast had made a bag from those squares. So I found that pattern for the square and proceeded to make the bag learning a few things along the way. I still have the strap to make and considered a short leather handle kit from Coco Knits but have not decided as yet. In doing so I researched a few bag patterns to use as guides so thought I would share. Drops Design has a free pattern for the tradition granny square bag and I used their diagram to figure out how to sew it together and did so with the mattress stitch. Cascade Yarns also has a pattern for a bag made out of granny squares and it is free. All About Ami has a paid for pattern unless one buys the kit on Lion Brand and it is for the daisy square. Erica Arndt has an entire You Tube Tutorial on how to make the sunburst granny square that I found after I had made the bag, however, I did pick up a few tips. That is all I have so far. Definitely it is a rabbit hole, yet a fun one! Granny On!!!

I'm glad you are bravely diving into the rabbit hole of Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I've just finished a quilt that's 100% KF fabrics, and I'm in love. Some KF fabrics.......no.......I just can't 😂 and others surprise me once incorporated into a quilt. I'm excited to see which you decide to use in your current project

That shawl is epic! So beautiful. Lace knitting is a goal. (I’ve got 125 grams plied for the MKAL. So much more to go.. then the knitting. 😅)

Hi There…just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to purchase a Juki like yours….I love it! It is a TL-18QVP I guess a little newer with just a couple of add-ons. 🙌 Prior to now my machine is a Brother CS-100 (over 20 years old) and prior to that my original Singer (over 40 years old). So needless to say I am experiencing a huge difference. 😊 I can now say …I have stepped up. 👏 Thanks for the inspiration.

Yay! Congrats on your new Juki!! I'm so happy I inspired you to choose a machine you love. It really is a gamechanger! Now, go forth and sew like the WIND, my friend! 😄

Hi regarding your EPP quilt have you considered checking the wrong side of some of your fabrics? the wrong side more muted sometimes is the right one to add. Love it so far.

What a beautiful version of the MKAL 😍 Did you block it as a circle full out, or did you fold it to cut down the space needed? Whatever you did, the lace looks immaculate, bravo!
@Voolenvine5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much, Liz! I blocked it out as a full circle (although folding it in half is a pretty great hack/shortcut). I pinned it out starting from the center, working another round of pins at the "birds" motif, and finally around the border.
