Norman, you are a wonderful role mottle for knitters and knitters to be. I have a saying I introduce new knitters to whether or not I’m teaching them or we are just knitting together. It has become my one rule when anyone is learning something new. “Don’t say anything about yourself that you wouldn’t say about your best friend.” It is amazing how that little rule changes the atmosphere of learning something new. You reminded me of that when you make comments about how long it took you to learn a knitting technique or if you felt a little difference between the pattern and your knitting. Somethings are worth the time and energy to get the knitting perfect and others you don’t worry about. I foster bottle baby puppies. I sometimes have time to make a puppy a sweater. That puppy isn’t going to notice a jig in a stripe. All they care about is being warm, well feed and as close to me as possible. Keep being you. I always learn something beneficial and you make me happy to be a knitter.

Thank you Norman for making my knitting neater. The joining in the rond for two colours always annoyed me because of the jog. Thanks to your tutorial I can do it now without a jog. I never knew how to do it, but now at age 75 I have learnt something very useful. As I knit many socks and sometimes have a lot of little balls of wool left , I want to make use of those remnants by knitting stripes but the jogs have kept me off. Now I can do it. Thanks!👍
