Wow, double wow, triple wow! As a newbie, i thought special yarn effects like the braiding would take me years to learn. But now, thanks to this tutorial, I can apply this procedure to hats, mittens and socks! Thanks so much for the clear directions!

Good clear description and visuals. I’m new to this as due to arthritis it’s very painful & tedious to knit with needles.

The braid is very nice. I do mine with scrap yarn at both ends. It's much easier to finish with a crochet hook that way, and easily find the stitches.

Thanks for the great video! I also watched how to attach the heart carabiner video too. But on that one you had both sides with waste yarn. I want to know how to do the braided headband on to a heart carabiner because you don’t use the waste yarn. Any hints or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!
@styledandstitchedbyruth76113 жыл бұрын
Just add the waste yarn to both ends of the tube when making the braid then follow instructions to add to the heart caribener

Great video! I have the Addi, so would you still do 5 stitched drop 2 and then 5 stitches drop 2 more when casting off? I hope you do more videos!
@styledandstitchedbyruth76114 жыл бұрын
Yes...for the headband...this will give you the 2 braids whether 40 pin or 46 pin. If you want to do another project just figure out how many braids you want and then calculate the number of spaces.

Love this video. Would love to do a blanket on the Addi with the braids. Any suggestions how to close the ends where they’re flat and not the pulled closure?
@styledandstitchedbyruth76113 жыл бұрын
I suggest closing with a crochet hook. Pull up a loop from one side then alternate pulling loops through each other from aide to side. Let me know if that makes sense...if not I'll try ro make you a video to demonstrate.

The 40 pin doesn't have a cou ter if that is the machine tou are asking about? I added a digital counter with self adhesive velcro on the metal piece that holds the sensor. Then I just leave my counter lay on .y stand so I can use it on alternate machines

This is great! Thank you so much for taking the time to teach others. I saw in one of your replies that you are an expert crocheter... would you mind doing a video on how to close these tubes using the single crochet method? I know how to knit but I've watched so many videos on how to do this and none of them make sense because they aren't closing a tube. Right now, I have all the pieces of a fox but can't figure out how to close it up. I also did a turban pattern and it says to single crochet it around. So confused! Anyway, any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
