Very cool knit! For the wire, you might want to use a stainless steel wire. Depending on how/how often you wash it, the wire might rust and stain the fabric.

thank you! and yes i did end up using stainless steel since that seemed better than copper 🥰 i'll definitely advise others to use stainless steel & try to wash as little and gently as possible... also, since the icord is added on after the fact, i think it should be very doable to switch out the icord & wire if needed!!
