Definitely a knitting maximalist. Embellishments are sorely neglected by most knitters, but were historically important in many communities. Use historical stitching, lace pattern stitching, embroidery, and challenging color work whenever possible. The project will feel so much more rewarding and look amazing for decades, rather than quickly falling out of fashion in a few years.

It works, it even works with 8 ply yarn. Now I need a bigger loom to be able to knit the cord. You can knit tinsel yarn into tinsel rope too.

My hot take: I watch a lot of knitting and crochet content. Knitters are ALWAYS wearing their knitted wearables. Crocheters rarely ever wear their crocheted wearables 🤔 I just think it says a lot about the quality of the products that each "side" makes
