Your dog is the cutest. He needs to show up more often. The blue cascade is a winner. Hearing an American talk about Radler is so fun for my German ears. I‘m currently knitting on The Super Basic Tee by ohwhataknit in merci by filcolana - trying to wrap up my summer knitting asap because fall and winter knitting and sewing plans are tight 😅

Hahah that's so funny about the radler + sweet about our dog, thanks! I'll try to include him more moving forward ;) I feel you on the summer knitting! I think I've fully transitioned to fall/winter knit-brain 😅

Cascade 220 has my heart! That vest was looking so good on your sister-- can't wait to see how she styles it. Fingering weight garmets are my favorite. Labor intensive, but always worth it at the end!! Imma join the KAL! Woot!

Radlers are the best in the summer. Here in Sweden we especially enjoy the non-alc Pripps Grapefruit, so I recommend testing with grapefruit instead of lemon :)

Your Tessikana is looking so good and I can’t wait to see the finished project! One of my dream knits right now is the Into the Wild sweater by Tania Barley. I’ve never done color work but the little foxes on it are so cute 😭

I've had trouble knitting with metal needles because it takes a lot of tension from my body to control the yarn on the needles (because things can move around so much easier), so I totally feel you!

Hi Mariel, so you are so like me on what you want to knit. I nearly applied for the test knit colourwork, but had too much happening at the time. But did apply and am doing the amoretta test knit and on top of that just finishing the Stella quilt pillow by Laura Penrose ❤️❤️❤️. I love you podcast and food favourites, although the purple bread…. Really 🤔

Oh goodness! My traps and neck get so tight. The knitters pt had great top of tucking your chin before looking down. So the idea is create a double chin for yourself then look down, it’s not cute but has helped 😂

There's this beautiful bulky weight garter stitch sweater from like 2011 that I'm in love with. The sample was knit in this marigold color that I'm obsessed with. The problem? It's not sized for me! I'm thinking of taking the schematic from "knitting in plain English" for one of the basic sweater construction, putting it in garter stitch in the round and finding that perfect yellow bulky yarn
@whatmarielmadeАй бұрын
Ah, power to you for finding a way to make the pattern work for your needs! Good luck all around! I hope you find that perfect yellow yarn soon~

I really want to make the Hannah cardigan my size! I just ordered yarn to make the Sonya shirt for my daughter with Bio Balance and I'm excited to try that yarn! I'm trying to decide if I want to get cascade 220 fingering held double for the Hannah or use Holst supersoft and coast. The Kal sounds fun! I've been off Instagram for a bit so maybe I'll jump on just for that. Thanks for a fun episode 😊
@whatmarielmade2 ай бұрын
So kind and ooh I love all those plans! (I've been sooo tempted to get my hands on some Holst yarn to try at some point, so lemme know how you like them if you go that route!)
@christycampbell18742 ай бұрын
@whatmarielmade I have used it lots and it does not disappoint!! The supersoft if definitely a bit scratchy-way more than say cascade 220. But it wears sooo well and the colors cannot be beat! The coast is suuuper soft and a dream to work with and wear. They always do a 20%off sale on Thanksgiving weekend so you might check it out. Their shipping is about a week and $15 but the yarn is so reasonable it's worth it!!
@whatmarielmade2 ай бұрын
