Welcome to episode 9 of my knitting podcasts, where I show you my rigmor's selbu mittens (a free pattern!), a self drafted neck warmer using scrap yarn (so satisfying), a failed blooming lavender (by stoneknits) sock that turned into a fingerless glove. For WIPs, I show you the progress on my Hokkaido sweater (also a free pattern, I highly recommend), the tide loop tee by otherloops (finally joined the front and the back) and my excitement for a self-drafted cute colorwork dk weight sock pattern!
I also mentioned ‪@hanaanbonet‬ , as she is slowly becoming one of my favorite knitting youtubers. Her style and taste is impeccable. Don't get me started on her color choices...
Anyways, I hope you're having a good day. Let me know what you're knitting on?
With love,
Mimi

Your vest is sooooo adorable! I knit the blooming lavender sock pattern 3x because I kept messing up. I´m so happy that the third time worked out because the socks are sooooo cute. It´s the pattern that got me back into knitting so I´m really grateful to her for that + she was the first designer I interviewd for my internship last year. Those socks will always have a special place in my heart.

Waw, shows you have such dedication! And you’ve interviewed stoneknits? That’s awesome! I might have to try again then, I also have two other patterns by her! I guess I just have to practice and one day I’ll have good fitting colorwork socks

I think for sure you should do a matching mitten!!! they look cute! you could even decorate them a little with duplicate stitch or something but it should have a friend!

The KnitCompanion app made my chart reading life so much easier! I like the lavender mitten. Maybe next time for socks go up a few needle sizes. Catching the floats won't make colour work any stretchier. Needle size will help, though.

Have just discovered your channel today! I think your style and commentary are just wonderful! I'm gift knitting a red baby bear bonnet for a baptism next week and was thinking those sheep on a little baby sweater would be so cute omg

Does anyone think…Hokkaido people are actually Hakka Chinese from way back?!? 🤔

I have not heard of this theory. But knowing the diversity of hakka people, it is very much possible!
