@@mlea79 amazingly I only have one small container of single skeins. My downfall is buying too many sweater quantities or what I think are sweater quantities until I try to make something and discover I don’t have enough!

When I was young we used to make a knitting dolly with an empty cotton feel and knock 4 nails into the top of it. Worked really well!!!

Can totally tell I’m the same age as you as I did have one of those toys as a girl, but we just called it spool knitting. It wasn’t as fancy- just a spool with finishing nails coming out of the top. Had them in all different sizes though

Oh please hold your shawl up next time as I’d love to see more of it. Maybe you could stripe the leftovers in a cowl or socks??? I love it when I’m finishing things- maybe work on Duane’s sweater so it would also go towards your bingo card:)

Interesting to see your Sabai top. I had to go down a needle size to get gauge. The row gauge was short but that meant the armholexdepth was fine. I'd recommend knitting the No. 1 version too.

I'm sure I had one of those 'knitting dolls'. I've found one at Dunelm for £4.25 called a 'Multi Coloured French Knitter' if you want to take a look!

So glad I’m finally getting the chance to watch this! Does the change in colour in the feels right tee bother you enough that you’ll go back and alternate the body yarn with the yarn you have left over?

No. I dont feel its as noticeable once im wearing it and its one of those things that makes it look unique. Xxx

I think for the sabai I would try the size down and also maybe the version with ribbing would bring the neckline in

Yes i think that a good idea. I have a few yarns in stash i could try it with and it’s quite a quick knit.

If you casted on stitches or picked up stitches for the neckline from the back you had already knitted, I think you would decrease how many you picked up in order to widen your neckline. I’m not a fan of dropped shoulder as I find the fit can’t be tailored as easily so it will be interesting to learn from someone who does a lot of them

@@mlea79 I love a raglan- it fits me better than a circular yoke ( I have wide shoulders) and is more easily adjustable than a dropped shoulder. I want to try the contiguous as I haven’t done that one yet.

Ok I really need to stop commenting so much- I must be driving you crazy! Hopefully it helps with your algorithm or something good comes of it! I have been wanting to try the cotton merino as I’ve never knit with it before. I’ll have to look and see where I can get that colour as I love the name of it! I was knitting on my aperitif hour top which is by one of my favourite designers, but is taking a long time as it’s in light fingering 😳

@@mlea79 oh I highly recommend her patterns. I’ve knitted a lot of them and haven’t been disappointed yet!

Use your upper bust measurement instead of full bust. Your sweaters will fit better. Increase for the full bust at the under arm. Pattern designers should specify that. If your top doesn’t fit in the shoulders (which it won’t if your use your full bust measurement) it won’t fit well. This is true if your full bust measurement is 2 inches and more than your full bust.
