What needle size are you starting with? What is your gauge? What size yarn are you using? Are there other sizes? Can you give more information?

hi! im a bit worried that the front and back are the same. and that there therefore less material for the butt area which usually is more prominent.. do you have any tips?

I'm aware this comment is from a while ago, but in the video they're Lifted right increase and lifted left increase stitches for the make ones. You could do any left and right leaning increase you like.

I think it’s so you can more easily see the stitch you’re picking up to put on the needle, because if both were green it could get confusing

The stitch looks like stokinette stitch not plain stitch like said to use in the video
