It's funny you should say that...I just started quilting, and I've made a few quilts kits from Fat Quarter Shop, and watched their video tutorials for the quilts. I was having your same experience! Even if I knew the technique, I'd watch all the way through, because I like watching how she does the simple things, and she throws out tips and tricks along the way that aren't really part of the tutorial. I'm glad you're enjoying my videos! :)

I would love to knit this but I am a size 2x or 3x depending on the pattern Is it possible to increase this pattern so I could use it? Ditto on the NEW. Hair style ...it looks great! So do you . Gorgeous project! This may be a dumb question.....do left handed people knit the opposite of right handed? I am a left-handed crocheter, and I have to read crochet charts backwards.

Not a dumb question. :) Most knitters, both right and left handed, knit onto an empty needle in their right hand. Some lefties (and some righties, I suppose) knit onto an empty needle in their left hand, which is called "mirror knitting". It does require rethinking/rewriting some patterns when you're a mirror knitter.

Hmm...in many patterns I would say yes. But in this pattern, the non-stretchy edge of the cast on, plus the picked up stitches, provides some structure and keeps the neckline from being too stretchy. You'll see in the video that picking up the stitches isn't difficult, you just pick up every one of the cast-on stitches. And if your count is off, you can just work a Make 1 increase (or two, or three) on the following row to get your stitch count correct, no problem.

Hi. I enjoyed your podcast. I do want to make this. On ravelry I found the pattern. There no fee that I could find, but no indication that it is free. I added to my library but it loads only a small portion of info. What is your understanding? I found it on Kramer yarns got $6 but doesn’t go to my library. I bought yarn for it. You are right about the price but that is most likely related to high acrylic content. Thank you in advance for any clarity you can provide regarding the pattern.

Yes - this pattern is listed on Ravelry, so you can add it to your queue and notebook, but the pattern is not sold on Ravelry. The pattern is sold on the Kraemer website, as you discovered. The patterns in your Ravelry library (with the actual PDF document) are only patterns that are listed AND sold on Ravelry...patterns sold on other websites, like Kraemer, have to be saved in a different location, like your computer's hard drive or a cloud service.

Hi! I haven’t knit anything in a few years, and since then, psoriatic arthritis has settled into my hands, particularly the ring fingers on each of my hands. I don’t want to stop the needle arts. Would crocheting be easier, or should I stick to knitting? Thank you!

I'm a lefty and knit from left to right. Can I just switch the number directions? And if so, do I just read the right and left leaning stitches as shown on the chart? Normally, using written instructions I just follow the whole pattern as written, just from left to right. Results have varied! ;-)

If you knit onto an empty needle in your right hand, that is the way I demonstrate here. If you knit onto an empty needle in your left hand (mirror knitting), this pattern is perfectly symmetrical, and shouldn't require any modifications.
