You may want to take some magnesium in pill form or have a bath in ancient minerals bath crystals which has magnesium. Also, some yoga will help you to relax your muscles which can be a part of your anxiety.

Very new knitter here, been crocheting for some time but have seen so many beautiful rustic wool knitted sweaters that I'm taking azleap of faith - and hope- and starting on my knitting journey. I'm watching in the hope that one day I'll be good enough to be able to create something half as beautiful as your wonderful creations. Here's hoping, wish me luck xXx

Another one caught in the spinners net, it's really the natural next step from knitting I prefer the spindle over the spinning wheel, since it's more portable and I can move around while spinning

So nice to see you, it has been awhile. When we are ready to block a shawl, sweater we wrap it in a towel but we stand on it so our full weight and take small steps back and forth over the towel to push the excess water away. It dries much quicker too. This was a great vlog. Thank you.

Hello Melody...what a beautiful time I've had sitting & knitting and watching you do the same. I'm a spinner of 33 years and so I wanted to help you a bit in that area. I didn't check to see if other spinners had commented also, so excuse my comment if that's the case, but I do believe you are spinning in the wrong direction. At least in America we spin the wheel clockwise when spinning, and then counterclockwise when plying. "Yarn is traditionally spun Z and plied S. I've read that nobody knows why, but if you spin with a spindle, are right handed, and spin the spindle with a motion like snapping your fingers with your right hand, you'll get Z spun yarn. So, it's easier for a right handed person to spin Z on a spindle, and I think that's where this tradition all came from." (taken from: www.jam2day.blogspot.com/2013/11/spinning-basics-twist-direction.html). Also, if you hold your fiber either to the left or right of your wheel (instead of holding your hands right in front of the wheel), you will have a bit more room to be able to draft your fibers out...as well as giving yourself room to start to pull back with your arm & begin to naturally go into what they call a "long draw". Another trick, spend just a few minutes before you begin to spin to do what they call, pre-drafting your fiber. It's simply a snapping of the fiber between your two hands, letting the fibers thin out a bit and making it easier to draft from. So we spin to the right, and then we ply to the left. Oh...you have a Shacht spinning wheel and so do I. They are an incredible wheel, but they have a very aggressive take up. So, you have to really slow down your peddling therefore, or I'm constantly having to stop & untangle my spinning fiber in my hand. In other words your hands aren't keeping up with the feet, try to slow your feet down and you won't feel quite as rushed. Hope this helps a bit...you can contact me at Facebook.com/History-With-a-Spin-195616660513169 (Sue)

Before starting I have some questions: 1) do you think your sockpattern is suitable for beginners? 2) any book recommendations for me? 3) what kind of route does a beginner need to follow to reach your level? I hope to hear from you. Thank you!

For a beginner, your spinning looks great! I noticed that you were spinning in the counter clockwise direction. Do you plan to use it as a single? Usually commercial yarn is spun in clockwise and plied counter. Less twist will come out while knitting with it's plied in that manner. This was a very soothing episode. Thank you
