Good morning, I love your seahorse I would give it a hug. You sure did a great job. I wanted you to know that I love seeing Gonzo in the background he brings a smile on my face. I think that this kit looked very nice, I would probably buy it if I saw it in the store. I haven't used blanket yarn before. Take care my friend.

Yep, the googly eyes look way better than the crocheted ones. When you mentioned making a chain of a certain length for the outline, I winced a bit 😆 good thing you did your way of just using sc. I'm thinking if using a flat slip stitch seam in joining the panels would also create that look. Newbie here too 🙋🏻‍♀️
