Currently living in Hawaii, moved from Maryland. Home is Pennsylvania. 17 hr flights not including layovers is tough 🥲 congrats on 50k subs! ❤️

You are very lucky, because due to all year mild weather, people are not pructice knitting and knitting shops are very rare in Athens.

I hope you get to go back and visit Southeast Alaska! It has a very different feel from the interior, and it is truly beautiful while also having that same Alaskan charm. And, there's a great yarn shop in Ketchikan!

Alaska is always somewhere I have wanted to see but sadly I’ll have to see it through you and wait patiently for the video! It sounds amazing. I had never heard of Musk Ox yarn and was utterly enthralled by it. As a spinner it must be very difficult to process and spin - hence it’s expensive. Can’t wait to see you knitting that Musselburgh with that. Thank you Natalie x

I disgree. Drinking black coffee ☕️ is an acquired taste! Which is a nice way of saying “something that Adults do.” 😁😂👍🏽 I too can drink black coffee ☕️ and have felt very “Adult “ when I do. 😂 Love your podcast as always ❤This roving podcast you and Kent are doing is so amazing 🤩 can’t wait to see you guys in Hawaii. Safe travels ✈️

Emily Curtis also has a podcast called Gently Chaotic Knits and has quite a few patterns out. I really want to make her Stripey Turtle Tank sometime ! Also I love Alaska! We went there for our honeymoon 6 years ago and last year for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we’re going in 2 years and bringing our son with us this time. He’ll be 5 and I think he’ll really enjoy it because he loves hiking and being outside

Ooh your idea for a qiviut lined hat is intriguing!! My aunt brought back some from her recent trip to Alaska and I’ve been making her a scarf and it’s really pleasant to work with. Looking forward to the vlog of this part of your trip, Alaska is such a special part of the world!!

I am so glad you got to see the muskox and get yourself some qiviut! When I went to Fairbanks a few years ago I picked up 100g of natural qiviut and I made a colorwork cowl with it. Now I want to make a musselburgh hat.

I am so excited that you got some Quivit yarn!!! There is a shop that’s about 2.5 hours away from where I live and they carry it. The first time I visited there I bought a skein (blended with cashmere and silk). I knit a small shawl by Laura Nelkin. I went again last year and splurged on two skeins so I can knit an even larger shawl! It’s a dream to wear. So light and soft. Even better than cashmere. You will love it! ❤

They are your clavicles! They connect in the front and swoop out to form the front half of your shoulder girdle. I’m a GYROTONIC trainer (similar but different to Pilates) and the clavicle is my favorite bone😂

@@KnittyNatty It was nice and short - I'm already back home in Anchorage. FYI - the short musk ox fiber is often used in blends with wool and silk, the longer fibers are reserved for 100% qiviut yarns.

Oh man...did you consider making a brioche hat with those colors?? It would be stunning. That way you could have the color showing on the outside of the hat. Andrea Mowrys old port or Harlow hat would be perfect for those yarms.
