Your editing and Thumbnails are next level lately! Neeves Knives Empire continues to get bigger and better. Wick would definitely have a OTF Stiletto dagger 100%. I could definitely see him carrying a Microtech with a Spartan blade. I generally don’t like Emerson’s outside some of the ZT’s but the A100 is cool. Also I could see him carrying a Dagger knife with his Russian heritage. Long and made for defense.

Very cool subject Jerad! The only change I would make for a fixed blade would absolutely be the Spyderco Ronin. It’s basically a slightly larger fixed blade Yojimbo 2, and no worries about deploying it, and is hands down the sharpest Spydie I own. I like the folding Yojimbos in M4 or other supersteels a lot though. As for the others, all great, but depressing! You can’t hardly find most of them as you say! I have the CRK’s and Spartan, but have been looking for a Strider SNG or SMF for literally years with no luck. It would be way easier to get a Shiro or EXO or even a K2 than a Strider, and I’m not interested in a $2900 one-off with a nightmare grind. Years ago I had an Emerson karambit that was bad ass, but not sure if they still make them. Forget finding a plain edge SOCOM Elite as well, and I missed the regular plain edge Bravo, but did finally find a fully serrated Bravo I really like. Thanks for the neat Sunday presentation! 👍

In-universe, I like the karambit since he fought the two Indonesian fighters and left them on a note of mutual respect. Considering he's on the run even more than before now, I would expect to see some of that Marine SERE training come into play so a knife that can double as a survival knife would seem appropriate. For the Shiro, he could go for the RJ Martin collab to get some of the US influence there too. But the ultimate John Wick (meme) knife would be something that could be anodized to be colored like a pencil.

I believe he would carry a manual version of the Hogue X5 Sig Sauer Scorpion Emperor in the 4 inch model. It checks the boxes, stealthy, slicy, robust, tough, USA Made, related to a gun he could find himself using as well. Somebody was wearing those sexy Wild Wild West blue pants Robert Conrad wore so well. Another candidate would be the Spyderco Native Chief. Anyway John Wick would not be wearing those pants.

What do we know about John Wick? He doesnt seem to have much a preference. He also kills people with Pencils, books, whatever. As long as it works he uses it. There even a scene with the sommelier where guy states he thought JW had a preference to specific handguns but then again he just chooses something else. Looks like he picks the MicroTech becuase its cool and pointy tbh.

Not sure if I could see John Wick with something that wasn't concealable. Either Scout carry or something that is slim and hidden would be my guess also something that could be indexed properly and quickly without having to look at it. Pocket clip would be to obvious I think unless carried on inside of jacket so a folder might work in that location. So a fixed blade with 4" or longer dagger style profile would be my guess. Thin, light, quick in the hand, and easily hidden from opponent until the last second. Thanks for the great vid, definatly something fun to think about, and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

I believe he picks the Microtechs because of the one handed /quick opening, and usually the dagger bladed ones because they can penetrate and hit organs, after all he is an assasin.

Wick might carry an ADV Pitboss 2, or even one of the ADV tactical mini button locks (javelin, alpha, pitboss 2, wich are still pretty large). He also might tote a MSI or Stitch (auto or ram-loc), or a Spartan Pallas. All these are tough as nails, pretty unique, and made for his uses.

I realize this video is for fun being based off a Hollywood character. That said most operators that use a knife in a combat situation prefer a fixed blade. Also for slam power assists the back the handle should be flat for palm impact. This is taught in all special forces and James Williams of CRKT. If I had to use a folder it would be something from cold steel. Probably micro serrated to tear through clothing and tendon. Or probably the CRKT Hissatsu, due to the double locks and deep penetrating traditional pointed tanto tip.

You forgot to mention Microtech Socom bravo and Microtech Dirac Delta or Troodan( actually this one was in the movie) Spydeco Para 2 is a good option too. For karambit knives Fox 599 made in Italy and Tops Devil claw 2.

I would say that the rockstead is a no. I don't see John carrying a lot of stuff with mirrored finish. I would personally go with Spyderco.

rockstead doesnt only do mirror, and in many cases its a mirrored dlc, but its that mirrored convexed zero grind that gives it the high levels of sharpness, i think a Rockstead is right up his alley

Amazing video as always Jerad. I'd really like to see John Wick carry a Medford TFK1 karambit, the super wicked early model folder made in limited numbers by Medford Knife and Tool. Its definitely hard to get though as only 105 were ever made, I managed to get my hands on #84 and everybody I've showed it too, myself included agrees that its a wicked beast of a knife. Loved that Rockstead I always drool when you get it out, a Rockstead is definitely on my list when I save up. Thanks again for the amazing video, can't wait for John Wick 4.

That otherus knive is not a fixed blade karambit but more a evolve Kunai knive where you can really trap and lock or manipulate your attacker movement like a karambit. This also really digs in bite with its recurve double edge. Very sharp as well.

@Neeves Knives Let me think... MacGyver was known for carrying SAKs, but he could get some good use from some more substantial options as well. Did John McClain have much for knives? I can't remember. Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega surely had some sweet blades, but I don't think we ever got to see any. I don't recall a ton of knife use in Pulp Fiction now that I'm thinking about it, lots of other characters might make good picks for carry options. Lara Croft might need more than a machete. Beatrix Kiddo wouldn't be able to take her katana everywhere, right? Something more concealable but just as devastating might make for some neat picks. Of course, this being the internet and all I'm sure someone will pop in to correct every detail where I went wrong and list 5 or 6 knives that every single one carried that I can't remember 😂

The reasons why some are saying Wick would carry a Dagerr or Shirogorov might very easily be exactly the reasons why he'd choose something else. Wick's character is from Belarus, not Russia. I'm originally from eastern Europe, trust me most Belarusians are far less ecstatic about Russians than many foreigners realize.

I would just say that SHIROGOROV is a highly regarded knife in the world and is made in Russia, and it might be a knife that one of the other people are carrying and he takes it away to use it. As far as Daggerr I almost put one in but they are not the quality of the other knives we have seen
