If you have never had the experience of closing a knife on your fingers during use, I'd say this is a good starter kit.

Can confirm. You need an ultra delicate little pinch grip in order to not engage the lock bar during use on these.

I have had two knives with the pocket clip that mysteriously disappeared while I was carrying them. I found one of them Hours later snagged by my seatbelt strap in my car.. The other knife I had with the pocket clip that I lost, I never found again. Those are the only two knives I ever had with a pocket clip, and they are the only two knives I ever lost..

I just bought the same exact designed knife at fred meyers for like 10 buck. Coast fx175. A warning is that the locking liner if thats what you can call it is very easy to over extend in either direction. But id imagine the knife that costs six times more doesnt have that bad of an issue with lockup. But it looks very easy to over extend outwards.

These knives are good for two things. Impressing your hipster friends. (not implying this reviewer has any friends that identify as "hipster") And cutting or pocking yourself. Holy shit it sucks. I bought one to carry with me to actually use now and then and its useless. The most dangerous knife I've ever owned. I have the slightly bigger one than the one showed. Who cares if its light or fits nicely in your pocket if its unusable? You are way to nice, and I'd love to see an update after you try and use it for anything.

@yanyanzhang58133 жыл бұрын
Not too bad tbh. The press is only on the liner lock handle, and theoretically, you are positionally your thumb on the screw joint and your index on the clip (there's an indent there to put your finger at), with the rest of fingers falling into place naturally. BUT the knife is pretty slow to open (safe though, in a hammer grip or saber grip), and not very sharp. I'd say its a collection piece, not something for say, self defense. (and don't even think about using an icepick grip with this knife, you'd lose your fingers faster than the attacker can lose his shit). So its basically not worth it for a weapon. The only grip you can use are the two mentioned, any other grip is hand suicide, and for a weapon, it'll just be better to stick with a combat knife. The only reason I got this was because it looked cool, I like tattoos, and I wasn't looking for any more practical knifes. Also, I got it in china, and the prices are a bit cheaper (around 25 percent less per blade in China than in the US) but that's about all that's good in the knife. Its good fun if you just wanna practice techniques with yourself and then like, peel an apple afterwards while taking a break XD. And I don't know how helpful this is but, if you do get one, there's an easier way to get the knife out of the case, which is just pulling the bottom sheet if cardboard out first, and the knife just comes out itself. Forcing it out like the video is kinda stupid ngl.
