Going by the dialling of 000, I take it you're in Australia. I like seeing my fellow Aussies giving short horror films a go and you definitely gave it a GOOD go. Nicely done, mate👌🏻👍🏻.

When ever I hear the sound of running up the stairs it makes my skin cruel , its so unsettling , it reminds me of that really scary horror of that horrible face at the bed side table in lights out , now that is what I call a bloody scary horror , but this is also scary a really good horror film , I like it .

I don't scare easy (well...not with movies. Put a flying cockroach near me though....my scream will outdo a banshee's😱) but the Lights Out short gives me the heebie jeebies. No matter how many times I see it, it makes me cringe 😖

i once went to take a short vacation in a lonely house in a kind of lonely area. the house is the last one in the street and a bit outside of the village and right next to the forest. it was the first time i went there ALL BY MYSELF and when i went to sleep i fell into sleep paralysis in the middle of the night and i remember waking up to the noise of someone coming up the stairs (i was sleeping upstairs and i am really familiar with the sounds of the house) and then the next thing i perceived (i was laying in bed with my back towards the door) was feeling the presence of someone/something coming into the room (i remember even hearing the door open) and getting closer to the bed. i expected something to touch my back by then and finally the super intense feeling made me get out of this sleep paralysis and realize what just happened and that i am actually safe.

This was awesome! What camera did you use? I have always been interested in making films but I can't decide what camera to use. I am thinking about a Canon DSLR or something. Do you have any recommendations? I don't really want to spend more than $700. Thanks. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks so much! I used the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K for this one, but all my other films are either shot on my iPhone 11 or Nikon D3300 DSLR. The BMPCC4K is a big step up from DSLRS, but you can still get great quality from a DSLR. I would recommend going with a Canon though, as I’ve heard they’ve got pretty great video quality and features. 4K is nice, but definitely not essential. Hope that helps!
