you cant tell me the music video isn't serving a little of old suicide silence music video vibes >.>

This sounds more like their older stuff compared to Eulogy. They seem a bit angrier than usual 😂

Older stuff? The older stuff is more melodic and stereotypical melodic hardcore. Id say it's nothing like old stuff. More like strictly END.
@shades11592 ай бұрын
@@Pthumerian01 didn’t know about END. Thanks for that, and yeah I’ve been listening to some of their stuff and I definitely hear the comparison.

They've always been melodic hardcore with metalcore influences. Generally sad boi core but they'd have one or two songs kinda like this on most records. This is DEFINITELY a step up in aggression and anger for them and I am so here for it.
@MrDoBaKflips2 ай бұрын
lol who knew he’d like heavy Counterparts vs melodic way back when Eulogy came out. You should check out ALL their other albums, including Eulogy again.

But officially they are metalcore. Used to call them melodic Hc as well.

1:18 LMAO. Definitely prefer this EP over KL last album. The anger and aggression in Brendan's vocals and the guitar work this just slaps! \m/

This entire EP is great. Love it.
@cordellpak2 ай бұрын
they were initially melodic hardcore, but transitioned into the modern metalcore sound with melodic leads on YNYA, NL2L, and Eulogy, but this EP is most certainly not that. A ton of END influence here and im a fan.

Melodic metalcore/hardcore. They have heavy old songs but this ep they slowed the tempo a bit lol. Will Putney produced this and he does stray as well.

I always had a feeling Counterparts would get heavier after he started END. And I'm all for it.

Great ep! These tracks aren’t even the best on it imo so you’re in for a treat 🤙🏻 I’d definitely recommend their album “ You're not you anymore” I think their most driving hard hitting stuff prior to this! Thanks for the reaction man 🙌🏻

The music is 12/10… although the singer is very good, TO ME, he sounds like ever other dude. This is where a Brian Garris sets a band like KL apart
@veil26122 ай бұрын
if brian wasn't so one dimensional id probably agree but guitar wise and drum wise this band is wayyy more technically advanced then almost every hc band out rn. idk if youve heard counterparts early stuff but i highly recommend for the riffs. sooo good
