Jason Terrance Phillips, born on May 27, 1975, is an American rapper known by his stage name Jadakiss. He's from Yonkers, New York. He started his career in the 1990s and formed a hip hop group called the Lox with Styles P and Sheek Louch in 1994. The group signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records to release their first studio album, Money, Power & Respect, in 1998. Their second album, We Are the Streets, came out in 2000 under Ruff Ryders Entertainment. Both albums did well, reaching the top five on the Billboard 200 chart and getting positive reviews.
