Nah, they weren't based on any sculpts as far as I'm aware. Their transformation involved going from a dinosaur by turning their back legs into arms, splitting the tail in half to reveal the head, and folding their legs down from their stomach. Not a bad toy but not terribly exciting in terms of transformation.

I bought both MP Ironhide and MP Sideswipe as KOs and honestly, in robot mode they’re amazing. They fall pretty flat in vehicle mode with bad panel gaps and some poorly fit pieces but for like 1/3rd of the price, I’m pretty happy with them. If they were characters that I really wanted and needed a perfect model of I wouldn’t buy KOs but you kinda can’t beat the price tbh.

Y'know, that Alien Terminators figure looks an awful lot like an old Movie Bumblebee figure I had years ago. It'd explain why you couldn't transform it; The actual figure was one hell of a lot bigger and would take you about a day to transform.
