Lots of kids still do, and frankly I'm tired of whinging old farts bereaving the fact that their dorky 80's robots aren't the gold standard of toy design they assume it should be. Excuses I've heard for why new toys aren't as good as G1 Transformers: - They don't have any metal (even though a lot of G1 toys didn't either) - They're too complicated (Not always) - The extra poseability takes away from using your imagination (WHAT!?) - The toys came first so toys based on the animation models are actually less faithful (Please see a doctor) - Kids would prefer G1 toys over new ones if given the choice (Having met kids who had the choice, I can say this is factual incorrect) It's all just fuddy duddy nostalgia goggles. I find it hilarious that the same people almost never have a problem with new toys of characters who never got toys in the 80's like Arcee.

Thew, a few years back I discovered this channel and reignited my passion for Transformers. Searching for my favorite character, I came across KBB MP21 "Beetle Wasp" and was instantly transported back to the 1980s. If you get the chance, procure yourself one of these brilliant 3rd party G1 upgrades. The robot form is the closest thing I have ever seen to the original cartoon, and the car form is so spot on, I've had people see it in my place and inquire if I was a VW enthusiast. My aunt got me the TLK-VWBee 2 pack for Christmas, and I was like "aw yeah thank you" and spent all christmas day trying to transform the wee shit, and I think she got annoyed at me for doing so, and yeah, the energon igniter is way better and cuter, and also less....I don't want to say it's shit cause that would be mean, but yeah.
