It's funny how It's a Small World is all about inclusion in the world and this Chinese version is all about China. It's literally the opposite of the original meaning of the attraction.

The purpose of this ride is actually spreading the culture(costume, festivals, and architectures) of the Chinese minority ethnic groups to wider audience, and since they are 'minority', and their culture is less known to most Chinese people who live in central China.

The OG brings together the world. This one is focused on china only. To spread Chinese culture, it would have been entirely to their credit to invent an original attraction that would surpass It's a Small World. Copying it to also distort the meaning is ridiculous and disrespectful. So yeah it talks about minorities... like the Uighurs? Right?

@@avb3839 Yes, and this is one of the early rides developed by Fantawild. Most of the early rides of Fantawild are inspired from Disneyland or Universal Studios. (or it is safe to say that most of the theme parks in China at that times are copying rides from Disney, and even some local parks/small amusement parks has its own version of Buzzlight year/ Small World/ Haunted Mansion. For the recent rides developed by Fantawild, they brought more original concepts, which is less relevent to Disney.

From what little I know most of the western world still thinks of China as a homogenous China, and isn’t aware of its rich diversity and history, so offering this representation isn’t a bad thing at all. That being said, it’s undeniable that “It’s a Small World” and “It’s a Big China” are pretty much opposites… even if neither one is bad.

This ride is about the 56 ethnic groups of China. The Han people are the largest ethnic group in mainland China, and besides the Han Chinese majority, 55 other ethnic (minority) groups are categorized in present-day China, numbering approximately 105 million people (8%), mostly concentrated in the bordering northwest, north, northeast, south and southwest but with some in central interior areas. This ride inspired by 'it's a small world' showed different culture, costume, and architectures of different minority groups. The theme song of this ride ("爱我中华") has also been popular in China in the last century, and became popular in recent years on social media due to a conspiracy theory related to 'Mandela effect'/'False memory'. Most people remember the lyrics as '56个民族，56支花'(56 ethnic grups, like 56 beautiful flowers), but actually the lyrics is '56个星座，56支花'(56 stars, 56 flowers), and the '56个民族，56支花' version doesn't exist at all.

Feels a bit lifeless but otherwise a fantastic clone, decently catchy music, fluid animatronics, vibrant and large sets, lots of kinetics, I'm impressed! Fantawild Dreamland has some great knock-offs, they obviously have a decent budget

Well the animatronics at least moved fluidly which is something that can't be said of It's A Small World all the time. 😅 I just wish they all didn't look like the doll from Squid Games 😭
