Spent some of the best years of my life with Sammy and he’s always been the same. Best dude. It’s crazy how much of a local phenomenon Drain was around 2015/2016. Local shows at Pergs or Subrosa packed like sardines with every person singing along to the songs off “Over Thinking”. I always knew they’d be successful some day so it’s incredible to see where they are now. #zizitveganfaaaa

Great episode. Do want to mention that Comeback Kid isn’t a christian band. Andrew has been pretty open that the christian phase was something from his youth, and with figure four, but not something that carried over to Comeback Kid. They are a amazing band, and I would hate for anyone to dismiss them thinking they are christian.

it would be interesting to get someone from a band in the christian hardcore era to see how touring was for them in comparison.

Oh, wow, yes. There were so many _really good_ Christian bands in the 90s, Focused, Unashamed, Six Feet Deep, No Innocent Victim (toured with Hatebreed), Overcome, Headnoise, ZAO (still playing) & so many more. Punk Rock MBA did a good episode "What Killed Christian Core" but didn't touch on touring much. I miss those bands, miss that era in the 90s, but I'm riding this wave of resurgence of hardcore that's popping right now.
