@PUATE10 жыл бұрын
Shavern Barrow do a "fork" shaped braid (braid 2 cornrows into one where you want to stop your part) place your braids as close as you can. instead of cornrowing in the middle if the hair try braiding so that your cornrow is more shifted to the right then center when braiding the LEFT side of the cornrow and shift left when doing the RIGHT side. This is how i usually braid so the part can be narrow. Hope this helps!

MzJamocaLatte thanks! This video was filmed about 3 weeks ago so the hair in it is long gone & I don't have bulk hair left to make a proper video but take down is super easy : you would cut the hair very low like taking out regular crochet and just undo the cornrow (you can pick some out if they are loose) and they slip right out as you undo your braids! Hope this helps.

how do you do the knotless for the edges so that the braids dont show if you have straight back braids ? LOVE THE VIDEO BTW , i have been looking for something like this for a very very long time !
@PUATE10 жыл бұрын
Start your braid near the hairline like at 2:08 then you would do the invisible knot crochet technique vertical to the hairline. Your crochet needle should align with the cornrow with the metal part/head pointing towards the forehead. Make sure to use a small crochet hook or a latch and hook darning needle
@Goddess07TU10 жыл бұрын
PUATE Thank you for that response! I was wondering it was well. Amazing video!
@LindaRosem9 жыл бұрын
It seems like essentially the hair is being knotted but on the loose hair strands underneath the braid and that's why it's secure... So I was just wondering if it was more susceptible to breaking the loose hair that it's being tied to...? Hehe I hope that makes sense. With the braid, you have a lot more hair together so looping or tying it onto a braid seems less dangerous, so I was wondering if you experienced more/less breakage with this type of method? Sorry I hope that was more clear :D Thank you!
@PUATE9 жыл бұрын
I don't experience any breakage at all and I've done this on people with thin and brittle hair. I find that if you do not moisturize your hair shaft well or when you take it out you leave the crochet hair long instead of cutting it very low then it may snag while taking it out because of friction. If you try doing this on top of the braid i find that is breaks your hair not because of the technique but because you are trying to push your crochet needle through firm braids. the only thing i dont like about crochet braids in general not just the invisible crochet, i find that it grows my hair slower and thinner than i would like because of the spacing each crochet knot makes in between your cornrow. Hope i answered this well
@LindaRosem9 жыл бұрын
You did, thank you! You find that even with the invisible knot that it grows your hair slower and thinner then?

@PUATE9 жыл бұрын
For super silky hair types i like to use #1 but definitely test which method will suit your needs. Yes i have an ig but its inactive as of right now, haha its more makeup then hair oriented
@ladyamba19 жыл бұрын
I would only try this for making my part look natural. Othet than that, I would only risk it when and if using a hair colour different than mine! That way I can be confident of what I'm pulling through and taking down, etc? The taking down is the scary part of all this.
@PUATE9 жыл бұрын
+ladyamba1 Don't worry! Taking Down is super easy, just cut the crochet hair really close to the braid and pluck them out or pull them out while you undo the cornrow

Hi. Do you suggest splitting the hair in two? The marley hair that is. PUATE
@PUATE10 жыл бұрын
mhizzyangelempress82 If you mean cutting the Marley in half, then try that if you are going for a shorter look. If you mean separating one marley strand into two equal pieces i highly recommend doing that because it gets hard to pull through the crochet if the marley hair is too thick and using half of the marley hair lets the part lay really flat. Hope i answered your question well
