As much as I love Dynasty knots landing was the classiest realistic soap opera on TV just my opinion

It's powerful acting/ directing when a scene like this is done with virtually no dialogue. His getting out of the car for "one more look" was particularly powerful! Similar to the scenes when the Fishers visited Val and when Pat Williams died in the street.

The writing was outstanding. I really wish they would come out with the entire dvd series. I think if one of the stations started running it, sales might pick up.
@kareneverett74975 жыл бұрын
They can't release it. They no longer have the music rights to the background music or music sang on the show. It would cost more to buy the rights than they could make in sales. Loss of music rights means show can never be aired in reruns again or sold in any manner.

As Richard left Knots Landing, it was John Pleshette who left the show because he wanted to direct the show, when the producers wouldn't allow him to, so, instead, he went directing elsewhere. Anyways, he started directing in 1983, for 1 episode, and the rest, beginning in Season 10.

Just realizing both Richard and Laura left Knots Landing the same way - alone and driving their cars to some unknown destination. Richard's departure was great and opened Laura's storyline; Laura's departure was tragically sad.

@@Christian_Ada1 - The “Knots Landing” character Laura Avery Sumner (played by Constance McCashin) died from a brain tumor. The two-part episodes “Noises Everywhere” were Season #09 Episodes 10 and 11. Broadcast dates: December 3 and 10, 1987. John Pleshette returned as Laura’s ex-husband, Richard Avery, and much of the two-part episodes had the cast improvise. It ended with a moment of Laura, on tape, intimately letting husband Greg (William Devane) know of her love for him and that she was sorry she couldn’t survive.

No, I think he really was indeed a bad guy! He blamed everyone else for his troubles, treated his loved ones like garbage then asked for pity when he was down, sexually harassed the females in the cul-de-sac, took his pregnant wife hostage with a gun, pimped his wife out to that oil lobbyist figure in the second episode for information, manhandled Ciji, among other things!
