Macaws are beautiful animals. My dad found one abandoned but the apartment complained about the noise. She said baby and shut up. It was a blue and gold macaw. My parents gave it to Midwest avian rescue and now she’s having a happy life

I promised my son who passed at 6mths I get him a cool pet one others dont have that would live years and grow up with him. Made me cry since I knew 50 to 100 years makes me think when I can finally afford one I can take it tohis grave that I really got one Ive always wanted one but i said it to him I promised and Im not gonna break that have 2 Cockatiels too that make me happy. In a few months i might be able to. He was born sick known before birth and the hospital seems to he hiding something it feels since 2 different stories of how one told to me and another spread by someone else. They never gave his belongings back I have nothing othet then a August jumper which reads: A KING WAS BORN IN AUGUST MY SCARS TELL A STORY THEY REMIND OF THE TIME WHEN LIFE TRIED TO BREAK ME BUT FAILED! Teenager size for if he got older its all I mainly have along with photos I always took

Well life span of a bird depends on a number of factors! But for most captive macaws it's usually in the range of 40-70 years. Exceptions are always there! :)

They can be. The conservation status reflects the wild population not the ones kept in captivity. However, please do check the laws of your location regarding this.

For starters, by not destroying their habitat and poaching from the wild. Captive breeding of endangered species and rehabilitating them in protected sanctuaries will help in repopulating
