I really like how you asked how to do this practically. However, as someone who has been doing affirmations for a year, they don't work when something unexpectedly comes along and hurts you and you realize that, after beating yourself up, those affirmations were used to cover up the pain even if you weren't intending for them to. They just aren't working anymore. I learned that if you do not realize it, you shouldn't say it, because the universal language is that of vibrational frequency. If your words don't match your conscience, you aren't learning. Instead, I decided to affirm my intentions. Example: "I set my intentions to honor myself."; "I set my intentions to choose what is best for me." Self-value is such a damn complex topic! I have the logical understanding by personal observation that all humans are created equally, but we live in a world where ego is at work collectively, and therefore, it's difficult for one person such as myself to make a significant change. I learned that, as an adult, others are responsible for their own behavior. What has affected me the most in my life is how others have treated me. I've asked, "If I'm so valuable, why have I been treated this way?" ... but through spontaneity, I learned that something as simple as speaking up for myself, showing my emotion, and establishing my boundaries with others help me to shine my light. I struggle every day to treat myself right, but I know that I can get the furthest if I give a damn about myself.

Hey guys I'm from the same squad like you two.My best friend gave me major hints that he likes me so when I finally fall for him and wanted to make it official, what he told me was "I love you.I really do but I can't make you my girlfriend or wife. The only relationship we can share is friendship. You are my more than friend but less than girlfriend. You are my half girlfriend." And I was there like "WTF". I suffered a lot because of him.He gave me excuses why we can't date and we should only stay friends but he kept crossing the friend's line.He wanted all the emotional feel of a romantic relationship from me but not ready to call me his girl because he doesn't find me SEXY ENOUGH (I'm skinny and he loves curvy girls) and He is from highest caste and I am from the 2nd highest caste. And after a month when I finally gave up on him, guess what? He got into a RELATIONSHIP with a girl who is from a lower caste and is freaking beautiful and CURVY. And now we are not friends anymore. I find him as a lier and a betraying friend. He still try to talk to me so I just response formally. Sorry for this loooooooong comment.Just wanted to share this with you guys.❤

I think you're fantastic Anna. I am 46 years old and have already learned most of which you speak about but sometimes it's good to hear it out loud from someone else and to be reminded of important things. Also, I have found that doing extreme amounts of physical activity, in conjunction with focusing positively, is by far the most powerful weapon to beat negativity, stress, depression and anxiety. It puts you in a whole 'nutha world, it really does. But you must do it for at least a few weeks before you notice big change in how you feel.

I literally said this to the person who tried this with me. I was like, "I know I can't do this. My feelings will grow and I'm going to get hurt. We're not on the same page." He said he understood. WELL about two weeks later I started rationalizing to myself the way "old Anna" did and felt like it'd be better to stay in his orbit and maybe I could grow on him. Of course, this did not work and I hurt myself really bad. I feel like devolved and regressed because I started off strong and ended up weak.

Even more so since you're realizing in hindsight you made a faux pas, I believe you have potential for improving. Sometimes when we might feel like we are regressing it is more likely we are just going at an excruciatingly slow pace. Make it a habit to accept yourself as you are NOW. Don't make it a habit to be looking for change in 6 months because that 6 months never comes and instead you are left with 30 years wasted on waiting to be and love a different, "better" version of you. Do not self-medicate compulsively with self-improvement. The work is NOT to improve but to accept and value who you are NOW with all your flaws and unique beauty, etc. That is the habit that will have payoffs.

But a few weeks ago, I realized that getting a completely flat belly would take a long time and I would just waste my time thinking of how unflattering my belly is. So, I’m trying to ignore that (while also working out to actually get to my goal) and focus on the features I like. It’s nice.

Conventions looks are just another asset. You either have it or you don't. I personally don't get the obsession with conventional beauty. Truth be told everyone is beautiful in different ways, it's just not the "most sought after" beauty. But I think it's more toxic to think that beauty is necessary. It's okay to not be beautiful. We all grow old and wrinkly eventually. Just one less thing to lose along the way. This is my personal opinion ofc. When I look in the mirror, I like what I see. Not because other people think I'm pretty (they think I'm average at best) but because I've come to terms with my features, every pore on my face, every cellulite and Mark on my body. The world doesn't have to love it, and I don't have to love it. I just have to accept what I see and claim it as mine without shame. Eventually, beauty stops mattering for myself. I'm happy in my own skin. (but your mom was terrible for saying that TBH)

@@reshmamiriam9289 The reason you feel deep down that looks matter is because your mum has been emotionally abusing you. If you're told every day that you're ugly you're going to feel like thats the only important thing about you. IT'S NOT. The world is so much more than looks. Everyone gets old and wrinkly and loses their beauty, if you focus only on external beauty you're stuck in a losing battle as beauty will always fade. You seem like a really kind person and I don't want you to be sad. I hope you can get over the horrible things your mum is saying to you and learn to love yourself. look after yourself x

Adding onto what she said about internalising your sense of self worth. This is so important guys. Valuing yourself and building your self esteem means you have to detach you and your value from the materialistic world. You are NOT what you have, own, accomplished or look like. Once you become satisfied and love you for who you are today, not for what you could be/will be, not for what you could own. But for what you are, flaws and all. This is when you truly value yourself.

I came across your videos, I had no intention to do anything today I just felt drained and just couldn't stand up. Three of your videos just boosted my mood, thanks.

I always love your messages. I'm a teacher and it is definitely tough to function when we don't know our value. It halts or hinders alot of our day-to-day. Btw, your hair is always so bomb ❤️ I'm looking forward to more of your content
