Thank you for this episode. I enjoyed so much Bible recap. Tara-Leigh helped me read through the Bible A to Z for the first time in my life without skipping. I also loved the chronological order that the plan had, it made so much more sens to the story. I will for sure redo it in 2025. Tara-Leigh, yellow suits you too. just like blue, green and Fushia.

Can I suggest a topic??? the dynamics between the law of the land and Christian obligation. Doing deliverance ministries puts us in precarious situations when people confess sins that often violate laws. When are we obligated to report? When is a Christian obligated to turn themselves in??? What if it was decades ago??? I think this could have several speakers cover!

Glad Josh brought up the ceremonial washing priests had to go through before they were anointed. The Holy Spirit descends on Jesus like a dove- that is the anointing, but also the image of a dove over the water calls back to flood and a New Creation or new aeon. The voice from Heaven quotes Psalm 2:7 blended with Isaiah 42:1. Psalm 2 is a coronation psalm and Isaiah is writing about the Suffering Servant. It would be through His Suffering He would reign. Immediately after the baptism where Jesus is washed and anointed to be our High Priest He is tempted in the wilderness to be able to relate to us as our intercessor as true humanity. Hebrews 4-5 does a good job showing Jesus as our High Priest.

I listened to Dr. Heiser's teaching on the Star of Bethlehem yesterday and how it ties into Revelation 12. Tara-Leigh's teaching on Matthew ties in well with that. Jesus is King of all - heavens, earth, Israelites, Gentiles...... Last week or the week before, I shared something on Underdog Theolgy after he mentioned something about Dr. Heiser and I said I had learned so much for him, but sadly, you give someone a little Divine Council teaching (a younger version of myself included) and all of a sudden they think they're Sam and Dean finding and killing monsters everywhere they look.

I love Watchman Nee’s take on baptism. In “Love Not The World” he speaks of baptism as being saved from a world under God’s judgement. Just like Noah in the ark was saved from a world under judgement. And same as Paul talks about being crucified/dead to the world. So Jesus’ baptism showing that the world and its systems had nothing on him

Praise God for raising up folks like her to call us to be true stewards of His word by "mining" it to find Him. Not to find what's in it for me. And to challenge us to clear the lens that we're viewing Him through. We all have them. But, the Holy Spirit will help us to actually BEHOLD Him. Then, all the lenses and preconceived ideas and horrible teachings will melt away, and we are changed.

We can know that His Baptism was His High Priest/King right of consecration. Hebrew 5: 1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness. 3 Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins just as he does for those of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was. 5 So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him, "You are my Son, today I have begotten you"; 6 as he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek." Just like Moses consecrating Aaron. John the last OT prophet consecrating the True High Priest.
