I've usually used Rufus - not merrely because of these options - but because it is the fastest USB stick creation tool. I am getting a faster (but still unsupported) minitower - a Dell Optiplex 9020 minitower (Core i7 minitower with 1 TB SSD is included) - I ordered it from Amazon).

This was excellent! You explained everything well, and were clear and concise; told why you were doing what your were doing as you went along. 10/10! Here's something weird: I did all that, but when I boot into the USB key, it goes right into the installer instead of the screen that has always appeared at 6:16. I followed everything and I have a laptop that supports UEFI. Should I just leave that setting alone?

Did anybody have trouble mapping drives on the same network after their install? It's the only problem I've ended up with. I've had Microsoft technicians using Quick Assist to help and they've gone all the way up to their tier 3 without being able to resolve it. Also, I strongly advise that people uncheck the options for a local account and skipping questions. This lead me to having to re-do my first install with a clean install. The local account messed up access to OneDrive and some of the questions are actually rather handy for setup. :)

What's the difference between the media creation tool ISO and the ISO from the direct download? I failed to fully download the direct version, and the ISO created from the media tool for win11 23h2 is just named windows.iso with 5.22gb in size. Also doing this from windows 7 and only have access to Rufus 3.22. Not sure if this version is fine for 23h2.

1- Yes, Windows should be activated, search for activation under settings 2- Depends on the battery state of your PC. I use it on an ancient desktop and it is stable 3- Yes updates will work

Yes, this is so simple to accomplish. Still running my 10 year old Dell 790 Optiplex i7 2600 with Windows 11 pro Licensed. So freaking easy to do this. Before Installing, I stripped out all the Garbage such as Xbox, Defender, the worthless firewall and all the other garbage that Microsoft uses to spy on their customers. So easy to do!

I show at 06:29 the Windows Edition selection. If you put a product key, it will not ask you what Edition you want and it will install the one (Home, Pro) that is associated with the product key. If you don't put a product key, you can choose the Windows Edition but then you have to activate Windows after installation with a key that corresponds to the Edition you installed.

I tried it with an updated Rufus 3.21 I did exactly as your video explains however, when I click start, the window that asks to bypass tpm and 4 gigs of mem doesn't even pop up. It just starts to clearing the usb drive, then it installs the windows 11 iso file. Figuring that maybe Rufus made it all automatic I just let it finish and tried rebooting. Windows 11 came up with the same crap that my computer doesn't me specs. Has something changed?

Ok so apparently I cant make a bootable windows 11 stick while using any Rufas on windows 7. Im not sure why but it wont allow the bypass windows that comes up and then check off the bypass items. It can only be created on windows 10.

@@hatemsaied9961 yeah I was able to make a working bootdisk. However, one has to use rufus within a windows 10 and higher to make a working bootdisk. Used my brothers computer (windows 10) and used rufus there unlike my own older computer using windows 7.

So my question is, what's the purpose of Rufus then?
