When it comes to the lyrical "Fuck You", side of Mmlp2(lol), That middle verse of "Groundhogs Day" is my favorite section; goosebumps every time at the start of: "Promising complete, dominance! Sugar Ray Robinson, I'm in the league Muhammad's in! Ali's my coleague, bombin em! Probably end up on top of em, stompin em!" ... 🔥💯 Lmao, the "Classic Em" type of aggression and the insane cadence is what does it, of course. But that rhyme scheme? and the way his flow carries it? Goddamn..💀🔥lol, and all of that together is straight up legendary status. When it comes to technical skill on the mic👌💐✌

This song doesn't get a lot of light so this was super cool, and to see how much you enjoyed it and agree how impressive it is. This has been my favorite off that album since I first heard it, and just a favorite overall. I never caught the comic book angle like that, or why it was really called Groundhog Day, so this just makes the song even better for me. I knew about the scheme throughout but I didn't realize just how many flow switches he does, it's crazy. And the beat always sounded funky but you highlighted what is actually happening with it. It's basically made that way to be chaotic and matching up with his chaotic approach with all the changes in flow/cadence, damn that's dope. Also just hit me like yeah there's no hook. Which is supposed to keep you listening, but this song holds your interest without one. Maybe that explains why I love it so much, less repetitive (hook) and more rapping/lyrics, the thing I love. Peace

I always had this idea for Eminem that I'm not sure anyone has ever done a whole album this way but correct me if I'm wrong. Some people shit on him for not sounding like the old Em, but I actually prefer this one that has much more technical ability than the young him. With that said how cool would it be if he took the track list from one of his albums and made entirely new versions of those songs with the talent he has now. Just think about him making a new song called "my name is" and how different that would sound from him today. There's only a hand full of rappers that could do something like that and Eminem is definitely at the top of that list.
