The sound is to mimic seagulls. That's what's on his original track walking around the streets of Brighton. So yeah, the cellist mimics the noise of the seagulls (rather than whales). 😉

The "slide" you're hearing is one of the strings mimicking the sound of gulls live during the performance. Also, if I may suggest the band Lawrence is some awesome music that may make for some good reactions for you. Their acoustic(ish) versions specifically. Soul/Pop/Funk

Yes! Crazy double (triple?) 1. The 9-5 is not commutable (not doable/sustainable - can't travel down that path for your whole life?) 2. It's not changeable - you're stuck with it 3.
