Easily my favorite metal musician. Second is probably Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth). I haven't seen Death with Chuck live but I saw Death to All tribute band and was blown away! Amazing experience.

I remember when Human came out around the time the Carcass released Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious (I'm old lol). 2 game changing albums as far as techy death metal bro. The earlier Death was great and game changing too but Human was amazing IMO. Great stuff. RIP Chuck.

What Chuck is one of my greatest idols, I still can play so many DEATH songs on guitar, even if I don't play guitar anymore really😁 I persoanlly line him up with Jimi Page or Jimi Hendrix, he was just THE masterclass of a metal guitarist... actually I would think he was more talented as Kirk Hammet, but hard to say... Death by Metal 🤘🤘🤘🤘

My buddy in Albuquerque gave him a ride to his show in his early years, they smoked a blunt and chuck had him buy a bunch of granola bars before the show lol
