a headcannon i have for amy is that she styles her quills ever morning to move past her younger self. when she had quills like sonic, she was very clingy and obsessive. as she matured, she altered the appearance of her quills to show change.

Adding onto my new favorite crack headcanon that Amy is half echidna, her nose is also different from Sonic, Shadow AND Silver. They all have rounded noses, while Amy has a pointed one.

I think that Amy is a hybrid of a hedgehog and an echidna from the knuckles tribe. Maybe her father or mother died when they went to fight the master emerald and so she only had her mother..? I know in most tribes they consider everyone in it to be a sister or brother so knuckles considering Amy a sister makes sense
