I swear the parrallels between Sonic and Knuckles in this movie series is actually quite crazy. I do like how wade and knuckles are pretty much the swapped personalities with tom and sonic. Wade is free spirited like how sonic is and Knukles is stoic and serious like how Tom is in the first movie.

People are talking about how Tom's and Sonic's characters got flipped for Wade and Knuckles, but I think it's interesting how Knuckles and Wade also got Tom's and Sonic's respective character arcs as well. Tom didn't like staying in Green Hill in the first movie, but comes to view it as his home after Sonic makes him realize he'd be leaving his friends and loved ones behind; Knuckles hates living in Green Hill, but comes to see it as his new home after living with the Whipples and seeing the beauty in family. Sonic starts off as untrained and erratic, but comes to realize how to control his powers by the end of the film; Wade is untrained and weak, but manages to hone his own strength and skill by the end of the series.

I love this video. The Knuckles series is full of references of the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie without ripping off the film. They are not the same thing, they are just similar. Always remember that.

The humans would be a whole lot more tolerable if it was like that one clip where Knuckles is flying towards the giant bowling ball and Wade fires off one of the mechanical fists. Making the humans have ways to join the fight and they can fight alongside the characters we want to see. That way when they do focus on them a little more, it can be in a way that warrants characters like Knuckles being involved and also be more Sonic-centric still. I mean look at Eggman. He’s an interesting human for a reason. He’s got all these robots and gadgets. He was a playable character a few times even.

But sonic 1’s lighting and shadows make sonic look the realest when placed in cars and next to humans, the other ones like in knuckles you can clearly see that’s cgi..Sonic 1 sonic looked like he could be standing there because the shadows and lighting of his affects were done perfectly
