New year, new shirts and a fabulous island. Definitely got old style 60s/70s vibes, before that era was commercialised.....Beautiful leafy lanes and quiet beaches, to be found.....Loving Thailands smaller islands, long may they stay as unspoilt as they are now

Fascinating stuff mate. What a beautiful beach. Phi Phi Islands is one of my favourite islands in Thailand but it's very small and it doesn't take long to get bored. Ko Phayam looks a lot bigger. I've been to Thailand 10 times and I didn't even know this place existed. I'll put it on my to visit list. Cheers!!

Tiny crabs, how funny. We used to catch them in Huntington Beach, CA in the 1950's and take them home. :( Not as many as this place, but they were quite a bit larger and you found them when those holes would pop up while you walked along in your flip flops.

Apparently there are some imminent changes happening with the entire Cannabis trade in Thailand. Currently it is like the wild wild west, but there are some major restrictions coming down the pipe. Not sure when but I did see a run down on Retired and Working For You's channel. Just a bit of a heads up for your subscribers. Thanks for the great video. Looks like a really cool, laid back place. Reminds me of Ko Samui when I was there, almost 45 years ago. No air strip. The only places to stay were small family owned huts on the beach for just a few bucks a day. It has changed so much, I hardly recognized it when I went back last year.

Just had a nostalgia with this vlog. I suddenly remembered the time when I visited this part of Thailand to film our TV show episode. Forget rubbery skewers. Ko Phayam's satay is grilled to perfection, with melt-in-your-mouth fish that tastes like it just jumped out of the ocean. Just don't ask about the secret ingredient (it might involve fins and scales).

Hey brother, I just came back to this video after spending 4 days in Phayam and 2 in Koh Chang. I did a lot of videoing with your one hand on the bike, one hand on the phone technique, which I thought was crazy and dangerous when I first watched this, but it worked out ok. If you go ever go back to Ko Chang (strongly suggest you do) you should rent a bike and explore the island. It's in many ways much more interesting than Ko Phayam. There are "roads", ok, ,mostly trails, but you can get all the way to the south and almost all the way to the north, where you'll find much better beaches. Definitely want two hands on the bike though! Cheers.

Hey Gabriel. Do you think 15000$ per year is enough to live your lifestyle and explore the world? 🌎
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 6 ай бұрын
It depends a lot on where you go and how you travel. That's $41 a day. You can certainly travel in Thailand, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, etc. on that budget but these days it will still be a little tight. You would need to find the dirt cheapest accommodation and keep things very minimal as far as expenses. For example my bungalow here is $32 a day, so that leaves you only $9 for everything else, and that's in a cheap country. However if you stay places longer, pay a monthly rate for accommodation then you can bring the costs down a lot. So the answer is yes, you can make it work. But the reality is I'm spending a lot more than that per year, especially when you factor in my travels to Europe and other more expensive places.
@TobeResz
@TobeResz 6 ай бұрын
@GabrielTravelerVideos thanks for your reply. Yes I am planning to stay longer at the same places and try live cheap one month to be able to spend a bit more the other. I saw there is accommodation in many asian cities for 400$ or less per month. What do you think, how much did you spend in 10 years of travelling without flights and insurance?
