Isn't it great that you have koalas in your front yard and your back yard on a regular basis again? What a perfect sight to wake up to in the morning. I'm quite envious! My flight back to Syracuse was delayed. So typical of American Airlines. Had to wait another 20 minutes to get an Uber to drive me to Vestal to pick up the girls, then she agreed to take us home to Binghamton. I finally got in at 2130 and had some food delivered to me after 2200.(I was starving by this time.) I was exhausted. Gogo and Macy had a good time at the sitter, but they were glad when Mummy came home. The weather here is horribly cold. I knew we were going to pay for the warm winter we had last year, and boy, are we ever! Right now, it's -2°, and we're getting snow. It's supposed to be like this for most of the week. All it makes me want to do is hibernate. I like Momo. He's quite handsome. He's got big ears, too, for a boy. Is it me, or do Northern koalas look softer than Southern koalas? It seems to me that even their eye shape is different. The Southerns are more almond eyed but the Northerns are more button eyed. What do you think?💖💖💖💖💖🐨

I'd say Momo is around 5kg or so. I reckon he will grow into those ears when he gets towards 4 years and really starts to hulk up. glad you are home safe! yes there are quite a few differences in the look of the southern koalas to the northern ones - well done noticing soms subtle things!

@@KoalaGardens the sudden change in temperature from Virginia to NY has affected me in a not so good way. I woke up with a migraine this morning that nearly swelled my eyes shut. I'll live; I just feel crummy right now. Momo is big for his age! There's a sweetness to his face, don't you think? I watch an awful lot if koala videos, so I see a lot of Southern koalas as well as Northern koalas. After awhile, I began to notice differences that I wouldn't have paid attention to before. At first, I didn't realise there was such a difference in their fur, not to mention the Southern koalas are much darker than their northern counterparts. Actually, I've begun to notice that Southern koalas are more brown than grey. and Northern koalas are more grey than brown. I suspect it has something to do with the trees that grow in each place. Northern koalas are more of a steel grey and Southern koalas are more of a charcoal grey. That probably has to do with climate. As time has passed, I've begun to see more of the differences between them. It's kind of like the difference between a bare nosed wombat and a hairy nosed wombat. But I love Love LOVE all koalas and will continue to do what I can to help them!💖💖💖💖💖🐨
