Oh my goodness! What a fabulous invention! I just so happen to be crocheting stocking hats for charity. I added 7 pompoms this morning in a matter of maybe 10 minutes. I love this! Thank you so much!

I used your idea with hand made pompoms. Using the Clover pompom maker, instead of wrapping the yarn after it is cut with a long length of yarn, I wrapped it twice with a small elastic ponytail holder and pulled very tightly. Used the plastic lid from a deli container to cut the tab or fastener and it worked. Thanks for grand idea.

I'm going to go try this in a little bit! This looks like there would be less fear of a hard plastic piece getting pushed into a baby or child's head. I think i would try my crop-a-dial to make my notches. And see I'd my corner rounder will cut this also. Thanks for sharing this! I use a bobby pin to pull the loop through and menuever it around.
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet2 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome that you use a Bobbie pin to poke it through. In almost every video I have where I use stitch markers, it is a bobbie pin I use and promote. Never thought of it for this! Genius! Thanks for watching! 🥰

Want to try this with hats that I sell but what do you suggest the customer uses to pull the elastic through if they don’t have a crochet hook?

Loop a piece of yarn through the loop in the pom pom then put the two ends of that piece of yarn in a darning needle and pull the pom pin through. Then pull the yarn off. Make sense ???

Would this be safe to use for infants and toddlers?
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet2 жыл бұрын
I would say so. They will not fall off and a hat is not a toy so they won’t be playing with it. It’s also too big for an infant to swallow. I believe it is complete safe.

Sorry, I don’t have it. You can find these pretty much anywhere that sells kitchen things. They are cutting boards.
@monicab282 жыл бұрын
I’d be afraid the sharp edges of the plastic would eventually tear or rip the yarn in the hat. Anything sharp has the ability to tear it. Even if you remove the corners, the edges of it could still cause some damage.
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet2 жыл бұрын
You can round the edges more if that is a concern. They really are not sharp at all.
